What a beautiful facility filled with smiles and joy. I visited my dear friend who lives here and she is in the best hands possible with the dedicated care and activities. It is a blessing to see the managers supporting staff on the floor. This is where I want to be when I need the extra care.

I cannot recommend Serenades by Sonata at West Orange highly enough! From my first phone call with Shar, the marketing director, I felt an instant connection. She patiently answered all my questions and addressed my concerns about finding the right place for my mother, who has Frontotemporal dementia. A few hours later, I was touring the facility, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Shar, Paris (the director), and Katie (the activities coordinator) exude heartfelt warmth and professionalism. Their interactions with each other and the residents create a true family-like atmosphere. I was nervous about finding the perfect place, but their genuine care, kindness, and attentiveness put me at ease. They are not only professional but also down-to-earth, great listeners, and truly invested in the well-being of their residents. The following weekend, I brought both of my parents for a tour. My mother, who struggles with engagement due to her condition, loved watching the lively Bingo game organized by Katie. It was clear she thrived in the stimulating, welcoming environment. Shar led an engaging and delightful tour, her humor and passion for her work shining through. Katie’s adorable energy and dedication to keeping residents entertained and engaged were equally impressive. The facility itself is immaculate—no chemical smells, no urine odors, just a clean and inviting space. The bathroom I used was spotless, and the homemade cookies were a huge hit with my parents! The chef-prepared meals sound amazing, and the overall atmosphere is warm and vibrant. When I asked my mother what she thought of the place, her response was, “I loved it!”—words that blew me away and confirmed this was the right choice. We’re starting with the 9-5 Day Care program to ease her into the routine, with plans to transition her to full-time residency. I am beyond grateful to Shar, Paris, and Katie for their hard work and passion. Their dedication shines through in everything they do, making Serenades a truly special place. Great job, ladies!

Absolutely stellar care! I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible attention and compassion my mother received at Serenades West Orange. From the moment she moved in, she was treated with dignity and genuine warmth. The executive staff and care teams went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being, always taking the time to listen to her needs and mine. Beyond the excellent medical care, the emotional support and positive atmosphere truly made a difference in her well being and overall experience. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and felt like a true home away from home. I am so incredibly thankful for the peace of mind knowing she was in such capable and caring hands. This facility truly deserves five stars for their outstanding dedication to their residents.

They have incredibly high staff turnover and inconsistent policy implementation and communication is lacking.
