Golden Pond Communities

I am so pleased with Golden Pond Community at Winter Garden. My father-in-law moved in to his "new home" in December of 2025 after living at Inspired Living in Ocoee for a year. The renovations are wonderful; his unit is perfectly sized for him and his sweet dog (love that they are pet friendly!). The staff is so kind and considerate. Bonnie takes great care of all the residents as Director of Nursing; I've seen her paying special attention to each person in residence. Chefs Jorge and Carlos try really hard to adapt the menu to cater to my father in law's VERY PICKY eating habits. I'm grateful for their dedication to his nutrition. Sharon, Resident Director, is responsive and helpful - the moving in process was seamless. My father-in-law had a fall (he's OK!) and Teri and Betty were incredibly fast to help him and clean up and be very supportive as he recovered. Dennis and Trevia at the front desk are always so kind and welcoming. I really don't have anything bad to say at all about this establishment except that there's still not too many folks living there. But that will come in time; this place is too lovely not to attract new residents. It's as reasonably priced as can be expected for a quality assisted living facility.

We had been looking for an assisted living community that would be a good fit for my in-laws and hadn’t been having much luck finding one where it felt like they could live with dignity. When we found Golden Pond we stopped looking and we’re so glad we did. Mom and Dad were among the first to move into the beautiful newly renovated building and it’s been wonderful! While there have been some small bumps in the road, that’s to be expected from a new facility as they get systems online. And those small bumps are far outweighed by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff!!! Every staff person there is just amazing, and Mom and Dad tell us how much they love the staff every time we talk to them. And most importantly, we are so comfortable that mom and dad are safe and having their health needs looked after. Bonnie (Nurse Manager) and her team have gone above and beyond in ensuring Mom and Dad's health needs are met. And Bonnie is so great in her communication with us! No matter how many times we knock on her door she never makes us feel hurried and she responds to and deals effectively with every single issue that she's seen or that we've brought to her attention. When you don’t love a meal you can always order Doordash, but if the staff aren’t kind, attentive, respectful and even fun, you cannot replace that. It’s worth everything! We are so glad we chose Golden Pond as a community for Mom and Dad! And we are so comfortable and happy knowing we don't have to worry about them.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at Golden Pond Communities for making our mothers transition into your assisted living facility such a smooth and positive experience. From the very beginning, your warmth, compassion, and professionalism have meant the world to us. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of her each and every day. It’s clear that the staff truly cares about the residents — keeping them engaged, active, and happy. A special thank-you to the staff, nursing staff, med techs and CNAs for your kindness, patience, and dedication. I just wanna begin with this journey that started 2 1/2 years ago. Thank you so much to Gretchen who was there every step of the way. Guiding me and this year helping me transition my mother-in-law into the Golden Pond Communities. It first began a couple of years ago to take the step so that both of my in-laws could transition into this facility. Although the decision at the time was not made to move them here, the decision was made to move my mother-in-law in since the passing of my father-in-law. Gretchen couldn't be more helpful more understanding, more caring. She’s always been there for me. It’s been a journey, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. Thank you Gretchen so much for making this journey as seamless as possible. I would like to add that at the beginning of this year, in February, we did move my mother-in-law and myself into the independent living part of the Golden Pond communities, which is the Crossings of Golden Pond. It was a wonderful experience. My mother-in-law needed to be moved to an assisted living facility. Sadly we had to move her somewhere else. As soon as Gretchen contacted me that the Golden Pond Communities assisted living facility finally opened, we were the first one to sign up and one of the first ones to move in. We are so thankful that the community finally opened their doors.

The Golden Pond facilities are absolutely beautiful. Gretchen and the entire staff are so compassionate and truly care about the residents, their families, and the entire Winter Garden community. It’s so nice to have such amazing living options for seniors so close to the downtown area.
