This facility is truly impressive, especially since transitioning under new management in both administration and nursing. The positive changes are immediately noticeable. They’ve been actively remodeling rooms, conference areas, and hallways, creating a fresh and welcoming environment. It’s clear that leadership is genuinely investing in both the staff and the residents, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality care. My Mom lived in assisted living at Brentwood-Lecanto for several years due to dementia. Staff was always good to her. Cleanliness was always an issue from mice to German Roaches. In May, I was told she rolled out of bed. She was sent to ER. I was not called. She had significant injuries with bumps on both sides of her head and both eyes swollen, black & blue. Her whole face was very swollen. She is now at a skilled nursing center and I've asked both the Administrator and the Corporate office (Lilac Health) for information on how these injuries occurred. My Mom lived in assisted living at Brentwood-Lecanto for several years due to dementia. Staff was always good to her. Cleanliness was always an issue from mice to German Roaches. In May, I was told she rolled out of bed. She was sent to ER. I was not called. She had significant injuries with bumps on both sides of her head and both eyes swollen, black & blue. Her whole face was very swollen. She is now at a skilled nursing center and I've asked both the Administrator and the Corporate office (Lilac Health) for information on how these injuries occurred. The Administrator would only give limited information and says she will call back with more information. The Corporate will not respond to my concerns.
My brother is in Longwood Health and Rehab. He does not get the service that is advertised for this facility. It takes over an hour for him to get Tylenol, and over two hours to get changed. The staff cares nothing for the issues going on. Do yourself and loved one a favor—DON’T HAVE ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT STAY THERE!
