We met the administrator Crystal, who provided a tour of the facility. She answered all of our questions, she was not at all pushy and provided a great experience for us. Taking a step like this is never easy for a loved one, and we are pleased knowing our Mom could not be in better care.
Choosing an assisted living facility for my grandmother was emotional and honestly pretty overwhelming, but this place made everything feel so much easier. From the start, the staff has been kind, patient, and incredibly communicative, which meant more to our family than they probably realize. Most importantly, they take such good care of my grandmother. She’s engaged, supported, and treated with real warmth and respect every day. Choosing an assisted living facility for my grandmother was emotional and honestly pretty overwhelming, but this place made everything feel so much easier. From the start, the staff has been kind, patient, and incredibly communicative, which meant more to our family than they probably realize. Most importantly, they take such good care of my grandmother. She’s engaged, supported, and treated with real warmth and respect every day. Seeing her comfortable and cared for by people who genuinely seem to love what they do has given us so much peace of mind. We’re truly grateful for this team and couldn’t imagine her being anywhere else.
My dad has lived at the Grove at Trelago for 2 1/2 years. We had a good experience while my dad lived on the apartment side. The staff the cleaning the food was excellent. However, when we moved him over to the memory care a few months ago, the care and cleaning declined significantly. Four weeks ago, I received a call that my dad was being transported to the ER hospital because his oxygen level was at 70%. I arrived about 10-15 minutes after the ambulance. My dad’s oxygen level was at 92% The ER nursing staff questioned why he was brought in. Needless to say after about two hours, they were…

My dad has lived at the Grove at Trelago for 2 1/2 years. We had a good experience while my dad lived on the apartment side. The staff the cleaning the food was excellent. However, when we moved him over to the memory care a few months ago, the care and cleaning declined significantly. Four weeks ago, I received a call that my dad was being transported to the ER hospital because his oxygen level was at 70%. I arrived about 10-15 minutes after the ambulance. My dad’s oxygen level was at 92% The ER nursing staff questioned why he was brought in. Needless to say after about two hours, they were ready to release him for transport back to The Grove at Trelago. Shortly after that, a hospital administrator came in and told me that The administration at Trelago was refusing my dad being returned there. Come to find out the staff at The Grove at Trelago had let my dad get his days and nights confused. Now they did not want deal with this issue that they let happen. We were told the only way that he could return was if we had an outside company have an aide come in and sit with him 24/7. The cost for this has been $20,000 a month. This is on top of the cost that we are paying for him living at The Grove at Trelago. The private aide Was responsible for getting him dressed, keeping him clean, helping him bathe And anything else that he personally needed help with. This essentially was what the staff at Trelago should’ve been helping with and now was doing none. We have chosen to move him to another memory care where he will get the help and care that he needs without having to hire a separate company to come and sit with him 24/7. If you have a loved one that needs to be in memory care, do not move him to this facility!
