My dad was resident at Golden Cove where he resided for over 4 yrs till his final days. The residence is clean and welcoming and provides a warm homelike environment, unlike what one would find in a large corporate owned facility. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this assisted living facility. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted with warmth, kindness, and professionalism. The staff genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels comfortable, respected, and valued. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The caregivers are attentive, compassionate, and patient, providing excellent care while treating residents like family. The activities and programs offered help keep residents engaged, active, and socially connected, creating a positive and uplifting environment. Communication with families is outstanding, and it is reassuring to know that loved ones are in such capable and caring hands. The dedication of the entire team is evident in everything they do. Golden Cove was an absolute blessing for my aging aunt, and for my wife and I, who had taken on the responsibility to care for her. What was important for us, was to find a place that would be comfortable for my aunt, but more importantly that would enable her to enjoy her remaining days. Golden Cove was amazing. We found a home that would provide the love and caring that anyone would want for a loved one. The Golden Cove provided a true "Home" atmosphere which is rare these days. Yolette, the owner and head nurse at the Golden Cove, was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She helped my aunt transition from a skilled nursing facility to the Golden Cove. She and her wonderful staff ensured my aunt was provided all the care needed (meals, cleaning, medicines, entertainment, comfort). My aunt received the type of care anyone would want for their own mother or father. My aunt eventually needed hospice care, which she received while at the Golden Cove. Yolette leaned in to work closely with the hospice staff and ensured that process went smoothly. I cannot think of a more loving person than Yolette, to care for an aging loved one. Yolette was an absolute Angel for my aunt, my wife, and I. I will never be able to thank her enough for the love and support she gave us. With an owner and head nurse like Yolette, I would offer that Golden Cove is the best Assisted Living Facility in the state of Florida.
I removed my father from one of the large corporate chains (Brookdale) because of neglect, understaffing, and incompetence that nearly killed him. He's not only made an incredible physical and mental recovery under Yolette and Mikayla's personalized care at Golden Cove, but he's also very happy there. It's a smaller facility where your family member will be treated as person rather than a number. Golden Cove may not have a grand piano in their foyer, but the care is excellent, and the residents and their families are happy, which is what should be prioritized when evaluating ALFs.
[Removed] was gentle and including mom in the discussion. Is an LPN, semi-private room is fully equipped, facility is open thereby allowing easy mobility for my walker bound mom. Residents appeared happy and comfortable. Cost for room is reasonable. Chose this facility for mom.
Unable to tour since mom had a meltdown. The travel was a bit much for her. We were in the area having lunch before our tour and were able to see the outside of the home and the surrounding neighborhood. Mrs. [Removed] was thoughtful with tips on helping mom. Which makes it feel a bit unfair to give it a three star based on the area of Orlando. We preferred the [Removed].
I use Golden Cove's daycare services for my loved one, and overall I think they do a very good job! The staff are all very friendly, and very personable. They've got plenty for their residents and clients to do, and they manage to keep my Dad engaged, active, and entertained.
