This isn't the easiest thing to write, but I am writing this because the staff at Encore deserve to hear my thoughts, and you may want to as well. I wrote something here quite long...then came back and cut out a lot. You don't need all the details. If you're reading this, you know the story. A difficult road led to having to find a long term care facility. I have seen other facilities. My mother had developed Alzheimer's in 2018, and very shortly thereafter my father, now alone, also needed a care facility. I engaged in a search, and some of the facilities were heartbreaking. I was frightened by the thought of that being the only option. Long story short, my family was incredibly fortunate to find Encore at Avalon Park in December of 2018. It's a lovely environment. The key here is I was able to let my parents be together. Together in their own small apartment, enjoying their own place, eating good meals, had a routine and received all necessary care. They were happy together, and safe. And...the staff. My eyes are welling up as I write this...my God...what a blessing they have been. They LOVED my parents. My mother passed away (she was 91) in 2022. The amount of tears and grief by everyone who cared for her...the emotion was so...honest. And since then, they have cared for my father as if he were their own relative. Every time I have visited, I have seen their care first hand. From the Director Monica to the nurses and aids...everyone has been such a reassurance to me. It is June 2026. My father doesn't have a lot of time left. The care and emotion is very evident. I feel blessed to have been able to provide this final gift to them...a nurturing environment that cared. What else could I have asked for? Thank you...all of you. More than I can ever say. Encore at Avalon Park has been wonderful to work with. The facility itself is bright, cheerful, clean, and secure. They have treated my mom, who is in the Memory Care Unit, with dignity and respect and have addressed any concerns that I have had. The staff is friendly and caring. Food is good. Courtyard is beautiful. Smaller facility that has a great patient/resident ratio. I am very thankful my mom is a resident here. I want to express my gratitude to Melissa Russell for listening carefully to my concerns and helping me make the decision to put my mom at Encore at Avalon Park less stressful.

I had the pleasure of working with Melissa for my mom’s admission. Melissa is very patient and caring. I found it easy to talk with her about my concerns related to my mom’s care. My mom has some special health care needs that not all facilities are able to accommodate. With Melissa’s guidance, I was able to make the decision for move-in to Encore’s memory care unit. Of course, this is never an easy decision to have to make and there is always stress involved. Melissa made sure the process went as smoothly as possible. I was able to set up mom’s room with some of her furniture from home and decorate it nicely prior to her move in. I visit often and all of the staff have been very nice, supportive and caring to residents and family. Melissa and Encore are a shining light during a very stressful time!

Moved my dad in almost two months ago because he needed more accommodations than could be offered where he was prior. Suzy and Melissa were more than welcoming with open arms to help him move in and thrive. I am glad he is safe, happy, loves his own apartment and has a good staff looking after him. Thank you!
Mellisa is exceptional, she really made my dad feel seen and appreciated. The entire experience has been so easy. We really appreciate everything they've done for us. I would 100% recommend.
We recently placed my mom in respite care here, and our experience was very positive. The staff was friendly, caring, and attentive from the moment she arrived. The facility was clean and well maintained, which gave us additional peace of mind. Most importantly, we never had to worry about my mom’s safety or well-being while she was there. Knowing she was in a safe and caring environment made a difficult situation much easier for our family. We truly appreciated the care she received. Melissa and Suzy were very friendly and professional and made us feel very secure in our decision to place my mom here while we went on a vacation , would highly recommend, Encore at Avalon park .
Mom was at Encore for about 1 year r covering from a minor stroke and experiencing early dementia. The staff was outstanding and very caring. They worked with mom through some very trying time From the director Susie who keeps the entire facility running and maintaining a family friendly staff. Melissa was responsive to all our needs. The nursing staff from Tina to Andrew to Sheri to Connie to Donna all consistently went above and beyond.
Staff very friendly and offer assist. Doors locked before 0730 and after 8p, but staff will open in less than 5 min
