Elders of Mount Dora Assisted Living Facility LLC

Feels like home. Clean, friendly. Available for any question and willing to help with anything. If I needed to go somewhere for assisted living this is the place for me. Thank goodness Elders care was available for my mom.

Our mother has been a resident of Elders of Mt Dora for almost 3 years and we are very pleased with her care. She is treated with respect and kindness during the most vulnerable era of her life. Jermaine and his team are like family to us and we appreciate them so much. I recommend Elders to anyone looking for a safe and caring home for their loved one.

The team/family that cared for my Mother-in-law during her final months of life, were absolute life-savers for my family and I. The tender care and concern along with the respect that they showed to her in all of her Alzheimer’s Disease condition were God-sent. After touring multiple types of facilities, almost all of which were either scary or far outside of economic possibility, a friend recommended we go visit. We hadn’t considered a “home-care” facility before but this ended up being perfect. Down to the hobby farm animals on the property that provided a welcome distraction for our kids as they watched their grandma gradually fade, we can’t say enough good about our experience with Elders of Mount Dora. It broke our hearts to watch Ruth, the original founder of the business, pass away from cancer just a month after our mother did, but the business has passed into the care of her husband and family who had valued what she was doing as much as she did. If they have space available, we recommend you visit.

Rooms are very adequate in size and allow individuals to hang pictures and even decorate within reason. Plenty of good lighting, large closet, drawers are adequate, bathroom/ shower facilities very close. Staff is knowledgeable, hold all state licenses, and REALLY care about their "Family"! The outdoors are beautiful and relaxing. My wife and I totally recommend Elders of Mount Dora !

My Mother-in Law had previously been in other facilities and I only wish that we had found Elder care of Mt. Dora sooner. Their staff is helpful, friendly and caring. The food was wonderful, actually prepared with fresh ingredients and served at a large dining table which had a real sense of family. She had a nice room with a sky light and always had her own clothes in her closet, they did not disappear and did not have a bunch of random clothes that were not hers as we had experienced in other places. Always enjoyed going there, so friendly and more like a home and family. Love that they took residents outside on nice days to sit and enjoy the sounds of country and fresh air. This was a wonderful experience and so glad that the last days of my Mother-in-Laws life were there with these kind loving care givers.
