Waterman Village Information Center

The staff there is first rate! [name removed] was previously living at another assisted-living facility. Definitely not the same quality staff. The people at Waterman have been helpful, knowledgeable, responsive. Anytime I have to call or have questions or need extra help, they are quickly available. For example the front desk receptionist at [community removed] was so kind and helpful! I called to ask for help because I could not reach [name removed] on the phone. The receptionist stopped what she was doing, went up to [name removed]room to check on her, and reported back to me that her phone had just been accidentally turned to vibrate only. Certainly that was above and beyond her job description! The care she receives from the nursing staff, med techs, CNA's, etc. has been wonderful. The head nurse, [name removed], and the staff nurse, [name removed], are both kind and caring, phenomenal people. Definitely night and day difference from our previous place.

We have found that the staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They always speak and ask if she needs anything or if they can do anything for her. She has a studio which is enough room for her. She has her bed, dresser, recliner & side table plus 2 small tables. There is plenty of wall space for pictures. The bathroom is roomy with a closet.

I didn't want to become a burden on my family some day. Waterman Village offers everything I need to do this. Much better than if I tried to remain in my own home. Of all the places I visited, they offered the most and Mount Dora was tops.

Knowledgeable, professional and committed staff who provide wonderful care. The facilities are clean and very well maintained. Food is excellent with a varied menu. There are plenty of activities to suit a myriad of interests.

We moved into Waterman Village as fairly active Seniors. We loved all the activities and the multiple dining venues. But within a year, we were struggling with several health challenges. It has been such a blessing to have 5 star health facilities on site. I had to go to rehab after a hospital stay and my husband could drive over in the golf cart for a visit and even bring our dog. The culinary team made sure he was well fed and they often checked up on him. Since then, neighbors and staff have continued to check up on us I love getting up in the morning and watching the birds on Lake Margaret. We have active neighbors that have installed bluebird houses. All of us enjoy the many birds. We even have a resident birding expert. Residents are often suggesting new activities. Or are actively caring for neighbors next door or down the hall. Our whole campus is well cared for. We are extremely happy about our decision to live here
