Bridgewater at Waterman Village Assisted Living

Fantastic staff

I'm living at The Bridgewater at Waterman Village. I can't say enough good about it. I am in a studio apartment. The facilities are maintained constantly. The outside of the buildings is maintained, and the yards, and everything around there is maintained. The inside of the buildings as well is maintained. There are constant maintenance issues going on, but they keep it extremely nice. The amenities and the different activities that we have are good. I'm happy here. My room is wonderful. They just redid the floors here recently and a lot of the rooms. The food is also very good. When I got here two-and-a-half years ago, the food was a lot better. It is still good, but it's not as good as it once was. The supervisor of nursing has open-door policies. You can go and if they're there, you just knock on their door, you can approach them. They're very approachable. Of the certified nurse assistants that work on the floors, there's not one of them that I could say that I have had issues with. There was one woman about a year ago, but I wasn't the only one who had issues with her, and they ended up firing her. That was an isolated incident. A lot of the CNAs that are here now have been here for many, many years and they're very knowledgeable. They're good. I'm on the medication program here where I don't administer my own medications, and they brought it in, in a timely manner. I went to the doctor a day before yesterday, and I was kind of late in the afternoon, they still got the drugs from the pharmacy because I had two new prescriptions, and they had them there when it was time to pass medications that evening. I can't say enough good about this facility. It's expensive, but when you think about what you get for what you pay and what you would have to pay if you weren't here and you were in your own home and what have you, to me, it's a bargain. So, I'm okay with it.

A wonderful place to be, the staff are very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Which means a lot these days. The rooms are spacious and the amenities are very good too.

Bridgewater is such a beautiful place to be. The staff are very polite and treat you like family. Management has always been able to help answer any questions. The activities offers keep loved ones engaged and busy with things they enjoy doing.

The rooms are adequate for the residents; however, the bathroom is a little tight for individuals with wheelchairs, plus it lacks storage /counter space for personal hygiene needs. Staff are a delight to work with and address any issues that arise in a timely basis. The dining room and food selection is excellent. I highly recommend this community for your loved one.
