4.2 · 12 reviewsThe food quality is fair at best. They raised the rent a significant amount from last year. My mom was paying $[fee removed] for her 1 bedroom, she now pays $[fee removed].
Discovery Village Trinity is working harder to make things better and I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
They changed their resident evaluation method (questionnaire on which points are given for answers). Points are given based on answers to the questions. There are a significant number of questions which if answered yes increase a residents score (and potential care level charge) where the item in question has ZERO impact on any service they provide for the resident. It’s a totally subjective system designed to take additional monies from the residents on top of what are already expensive base fees. They changed their resident evaluation method (questionnaire on which points are given for answers). Points are given based on answers to the questions. There are a significant number of questions which if answered yes increase a residents score (and potential care level charge) where the item in question has ZERO impact on any service they provide for the resident. It’s a totally subjective system designed to take additional monies from the residents on top of what are already expensive base fees. I went through specific items on my Fathers care level questionnaire with the appropriate personnel and Executive Director and they could not answer why certain questions that were answered yes impacted a residents additional care cost. They couldn’t explain why and agreed with me on numerous items. As they just switched ownership [location removed] it is Corporate mandate. My Fathers care cost went from $0 under the prior ownership to [fee removed] per month additional.

The quality of care has been spotty. Calls for assistance have been met with long response times. A recent incident where the ball was completely dropped, was an order for a blood draw was left with the nursing administrator with instructions to send results to the doctor's office. One month later, we went to the doctor and she had not received the results. The blood work was never done. It cost my mother a [fee removed] co-pay and a waste of 2 hours time. We had to schedule another appointment so the doctor could review the results with us. There is also an issue with her A/C unit. It hasn't worked properly for 4 months. Her apartment is too warm. After numerous attempts to get maintenance to fix it, I had to escalate the issue to the facility director. I'm awaiting a response.
If you have the opportunity to move in do it. You will be very happy there.
I highly recommend the watermark, it has been a lifesaver saver for our family. We are pleased and glad mom acclimated so well. We highly recommend the community.It was outside my mothers community and my sisters community. It has the most attractive and inviting atmosphere, lovely rooms and great staff.
My husband and I moved in to Watermark Independent Living in Trinity in [date removed]. It was a blessing that we had made the decision to move here, because shortly after moving in, my husband passed away. Not having any family living close by, the residents and staff became my family. Their support and encouragement to participate in the activities helped me develop new friends :) Some of the reasons why we chose Watermark as our new home are: * New construction * Apartments are equipped with full-size washer / dyer, and kitchen appliances. * Flexible dining - serving daily meals in the cafe & dining room. Rent includes many amenities and services that offset monthly expense when compared to expenses paid when owning our home. * Activities and social events provide opportunities to socialize with others to make friends, and to encourage a healthy active lifestyle.
Our family had an in person tour and The Watermark is a beautiful facility, right when you walk in everything is brand new and modernized. The staff members were amazing, but our loved one was just not fond of the location. It is off of a main road and having an elementary school right across the street could cause a lot of traffic. She was wanting more in a neighborhood setting.
