Cecil Pines Adult Living Community

Fabulous..just what we have been looking for and more. Quiet, lovely landscaped! Perfect floor plans inside for adult living. We loved the duplex, but they have other options. They do have a waiting list, but worth the wait. For us, the sooner the better to a home from our prayers. The staff covered every question we ask. The sooner the better to become family in this community.

I am not a resident but have attended some of their events a few times. The staff is very friendly and keep the grounds very clean. They have socials for their residents and an awesome annual car show in the fall that raises money to support the American Cancer Society.

We have been here for two years and initially we were very pleased. The maintenance staff is friendly and responsive the same cannot be said of the Leasing Staff. You are treated very well during your initial contact with the Leasing Staff once you become a resident you get vagues answers and one of these options; leave, pay more rent, or wait for another incorrect answer. Make sure they tell you about Rob’s Place the Bar and Grill that stays open till 2am every night of the week. We asked for help to prevent the opening of the bar and the staff response was they did not want make waves for the city. So now we have a very nice Bar and Grill complete with bike nights and outdoor events in the middle of our community. Nice place to eat and get a drink but not what I want for neighbor. The main street to our cul de sac has become a default drag strip for patrons leaving the bar. So beware when you check out Cecil Pines it is very quiet during the day, however, weekdays and weekends nights after 6PM it is not so quiet.

My mother has been in Cecil Pines for five years now. It is very quiet, but there are no facilities, no eating, and no delivery. There is a kitchen, people cook, and some residents still even work. It is definitely independent, so it is not for anybody that needs any kind of help. She is in a three-bedroom house. It used to be military housing and now it is owned by Cecil Pines, so it is just a regular house. They have some activities, but my mom doesn't participate in any of them. They don't have any 24-hour staff at all, no weekends, and not after 5 o'clock. There is a lot they can add to their services, but when you go there, you know that you are independent. So for them, they are meeting what they said they would do. But then, when the person gets more to where he can't be independent, he just needs to move out of there.
