I am sharing my experience with Riverside Post Acute to provide families with information about my mother’s care and the facility’s response to concerns I raised.My mother, who has dementia, was a resident for approximately two and a half months. During her stay, her clothing and snacks went missing. I reported this to the nurses’ station. Her case manager, Chiquita, told me she would investigate, but I did not receive a follow-up or resolution. When my mother was discharged in July, facility staff tested her for COVID-19 because, as I was informed, someone at the facility had tested positive. I was told that her test was negative, and she was sent home. The following day, I took her to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with COVID-19. I notified the facility of the hospital’s diagnosis. Staff appeared surprised and also told me I would receive compensation for the missing clothing and snacks. Despite making calls and leaving messages for approximately one month, I have not received a response or resolution.The CNA Mrs.Deborah who cared for my mother were kind and attentive, and I appreciate their efforts. My concerns relate specifically to the facility’s handling of the missing belongings, follow-up communication, and the information provided regarding my mother’s COVID-19 test.Families should receive timely communication, clear information, and appropriate follow-up when concerns arise. Based on my experience, Riverside Post Acute did not meet those expectations.

Celebrated Father’s Day with staff and Fathers at Post Acute. We gave cards and caps to all the fathers present including the staff.

My parents have been residence of Riverside Post for the past two years my mom is currently in Memory care, Although there’s things that can be worked on, I needed to share about the care my mom receives and Memory care. I’m a people watcher, I come in all times of the day and night Ms. Melba Alvarenga is Always about the care of the residence Not just my mom’s care but everyone. My mother’s roommate is Hispanic and so is Ms. Alvarenga I notice her Communicating Calming down my mother‘s roommate, she also makes time to tell me what kind of day my mom is having along with any changes with her medication. My Mom isn’t in a facility because I don’t want her. It’s because I’m unable to take care for her at home anymore, knowing there are people who have a caring heart talking care of my mom giving me some peace of mind and makes it a little easier to sleep at night. Melba is one of the Best! Thank You Regards The Terry Family
