Casa Mora Rehabilitation & Extended Care

If I could give 0 stars to this place I would. The facility, staff, and care is HORRIBLE! My mother complained all the time about staff being rough with her and not responding when she needed assistance. When I would go visit my mother that was also my experience with staff as well. The only good thing I can say is that the Haitian staff members were very helpful. Everyone else was trash. The place is trash, staff is trash, facilities are trash. Whatever you do, DO NOT send your loved one to this facility.

My grandmother was transferred from another facility to Casa Mora in early 2014. They seemed nice on a superficial surface level. I was primary care taker for my grandmother. When I disagreed that I didnt want her in a nursing home that when they got real manipulative. I refused to sign the medicaid paperwork and wanted her home after her w weeks that her insurance covered. My grandmother also had dementia. They one day a group of social workers director of social work and someone from the insurance dept gated my grandmother and me with paperwork trying to force her signature. My grandmother was scared and confused. I advocated for her to not sign it because they wanted her to go to a nursing home. She started yelling and screaming no she won't sign the papers. They got in her and my face. It was brutal. The director of social work kicked me out of the room and slammed the door. I could hear my grandma screaming. A nurse aide came to me and said doctor approved her release for next morning. I went back in that room and told them all that doctor just approved her release for next day. The director got angry shook her fist and said I cant care for her and they all waked out. I will never reccomend anyone to come here I dont care if it more than 10 years later. This place gets a 1 star.

My daughter only moved there a few days ago. While I haven't been able to visit, 2 of her daughter's have. I have spoken with staff members by phone. We are all very impressed. The staff seems kind and patient. They are caring and helpful. She states that Casa Mora is a great improvement compared to other facilities, and she likes the food!

Spent a week there for short term rehab. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. They were great. I was also very fortunate to have a great roommate I’ll be ever grateful for being paired with Tyson Capalbo

It may be an older facility but it is definitely a larger one. The facility is clean. Housekeepers are out working hard throughout the day. Residents admitted with hopes of a positive outcome usually discharge stronger than they were prior to admission. Therapy staff work hard to maintain and gain back some of the independence that the residents may have lost. Unit managers take pride in their residents and educate staff and family when necessary. Health care in general is scary but our team of Department Heads, Nurses, CNAs, DON/ADON, Therapy Staff, Kitchen Staff, Dietitian, Maintenance and many others work endlessly to help ease your loved ones stay here at Casa Mora!
