I was referred to them by Mercy Hospital when they would not discharge my father without 24 hour assistance. Carlos Rivas reached out to me, conferred with the hospital and made an assessment of my father's needs. He gave me a list of Assisted Living Facilities that provided the services my dad required along with the reviews of each facility and his own ranking of the facilities. Once I visited the facilities and found the right one, South Florida Senior Services assisted me with the coordination of all the necessary arrangements to relocate my dad to the facility, guided me through the Medicare and Medicaid process, assisted coordinating the transfer of his medicines/prescriptions to the facility's pharmacy and was always there every step of the way. The facility we picked has been fantastic, from the attention of the patients, to their care when medical issues surface, to their fast action when an emergency medical service needs to be contacted. Making arrangements for an aging parent is not easy and it is not a step I was ready to take on my own.
