Artis Senior Living of Davie

Artis is truly a family-oriented community with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are amazing, friendly, and always make everyone feel included. Marlene and Renee do a wonderful job with residents and families, and as a private aide, I always feel welcomed. A special shoutout to Shanna-Lee and Kevin for their engaging activity programs that keep residents active and involved while including family members as well. The care staff also do a phenomenal job ensuring the well-being of the residents. I highly recommend Artis Senior Living of Davie!

World-class care facility. Staff are kind and engaged, and the residents are very well cared for and happy. Daily activities keep residents engaged and, IMO, may help slow progression of some memory diseases. Renée is a jewel and sends pix to keep me updated when my presents arrive for my loved one ; they maintain a Facebook page as well so you can see what’s happening. Cannot speak highly enough of this facility and in particular the carers who make it great.

This facility is simply one of the most depressing places we have ever visited. Our first impression was the lack of friendliness of the caregivers. The residents were sitting in their wheelchairs by themselves with no interaction from anyone. There was no music, television, games or anything that would keep the residents engaged. Some residents were even sleeping sitting up in their wheelchairs. I was fortunate enough to speak to a few of the residents and they all confirmed what I witnessed. They expressed their sadness of having to live in this place because of the lack of engagement, the poor food quality, and the poor living conditions. The dining room was bare, nothing for any of the residents to snack on or have a beverage. The dining room had flies flying around the residents. I did not see one aide or worker interact with the residents the entire time we toured the facility. I believe we owe it to our family members to really look into these facilities before putting our trust on places like this. Very sad!

The staff and care partners do their very best to ensure the residents’ safety and wellbeing. For starters the facility is clean. The best option for caring for your loved ones is at home but when that option is not available; finding a facility that really cares and have integrity is paramount. It starts with executive director, Reggie Wilcox a beautiful human and a seasoned professional that is capable and caring followed by the amazing, professional, nurturing head nurse Kolton Hones that has made such an impact since his arrival. I have dealt with Kolton personally since he came to Artis and this man is consistent, return calls will do whatever is necessary for the wellbeing of the residents and families. Other amazing staff; Blondie the accountant (just the best) who appears to do everything; Veron, Florentina, Monica; all do their very best to make sure that the residents receive proper care and attention. The recreational staff of Renee and Marlene and the other young lady (can’t remember her name) who is always so loving and attentive to my brother and the other residents. The care partners; some I do not remember their names; Karen, Rosemary all working constantly to help the residents and facilitate their needs. Elvis the maintenance manager; always ready to assist when needed and last but not least the two young ladies at the reception area; Corina and Lorraine; always professional and pleasant. This is a place where one can feel confident that they are doing their very best to ensure that your loved ones are properly cared for. Perfect care is taking care of your loved ones at home but when that is not available; this place is a great option. Regardless of the facility; all elderly living situations; nursing homes , etc require family involvement for the best possible care for our loved ones Artis do their very best and they care. Thank you to all at Artis from the very beginning, Sheryl, Gavin and the great individuals that did their very best for our beloved brother. Thank you.

My mom is a resident at Artis and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff is kind and caring and do their best to take great care of the residents. The activity directors plan wonderful outings for the residents as well as bring in entertainment such as musical guests and therapy animals. The facility is clean and safe and a very homey environment that I have never seen in another memory care facility. I sleep better at night knowing that my mom is being well taken care of and is happy and safe at Artis.
