He is consistently being watched but not hovered over. He is allowed to move freely through the community on his own. If he runs into any issues there is always someone there to help. He loves the fact that they come to his apartment and remind him about breakfast, lunch and dinner. They even have a cup of tea ready for him because he told him he likes tea. We moved my father to Brookdale about 3 months ago. He is in the memory care section. We have been so pleased with the Kindness and professionalism there. He is consistently being watched but not hovered over. He is allowed to move freely through the community on his own. If he runs into any issues there is always someone there to help. He loves the fact that they come to his apartment and remind him about breakfast, lunch and dinner. They even have a cup of tea ready for him because he told him he likes tea. These little things are whats important to him. He was hesitant about moving there but now he actually calls it home. We could have not made a better choice. [name removed] the events coordinator is one of most energetic people I have ever met and always has a smile on her face. My dad loves her. [name removed] and [name removed] on the nursing staff are great. They are always keeping an eye on my dad's legs because they tend to swell occasionally and when they do they act on it immediately.
When it comes to the activities these are not all inclusive, only select residents by invite. The music programs are live twice a month or TV are just on in the LR. There are no 24-hour nurses. The residents do not receive medication, even prescription medication from 6:00PM-7:00AM. Dining times can become very loud and disruptive at times because of staff having unordinary loud voices.
Brookdale Vero Beach would meet my husband's needs. It looked like a very nice facility. I liked their amenities the best.

The residents seem engaged with each other. They're happy and talkative, compared to other places I've seen that keep the residents drugged and in a comatose state. It's been a good experience and I'm thrilled my mother adjusted relatively quickly. We picked this community because of the location, price and the sales manager staying in touch with me throughout the search process.
I would recommend, they were very accommodating for me and my mother, the staff was great, a lot of special people working there for sure. The fact that they had just lost their activity director made a difference while my mother was there, I feel like had they had one it might have been better, but I do give credit to the staff for stepping up and trying to fill the gaps. Definitely some special people there!
Overall, it has been the perfect fit for my father. [name removed] (father) likes the smaller environment, we like that it is a closed facility, and the staff is very accommodating.
Nice clean rooms, secure entrance and exits, good quality food, pleasant staff. Downside is that the mealtimes are very early for my mom,, 730 1130. 430. Short staff at night.
Everything has gone really well so Far! Great facility and the staff have been very attentive!
