Alba Court Residence and Adult Day Care

This use to be a good place when they first opened up shop, sadly it went down hill. Now the people running the establishment have bigger egos than brains and treat the staff like garbage, which leads to an understaffed and over worked crew. For the residents sake I really hope the RIGHT changes are made.

The alba has been heaven sent for my family. The facility my dad was in before this one was just terrible. The staff wasn’t very friendly and we felt that my dad was just another paycheck to them. But then we found the Alba and at first we were very skeptical of it because of the prior experience we had. This facility is so welcoming and friendly with everyone. They know my dad’s needs and wants. I can’t say anything bad about the Alba. And Jake the director is great. He will answer and questions you have whether you have an appointment to see him or not. And we can’t forget Candace who sits at the front desk. She’s a ray of sunshine every time we go. If we have any concerns we call her right away and she makes sure that it is taken care of. And Tasha the nurse manager is also fantastic. They are very transparent. It’s kinda far from where we live but we couldn’t find anything close to this facility in our area. Hands down I would trust this facility with my loved one.

My Aunt stayed here and when she first toured it, she called it “homey”. I live in PA and my Aunt’s DPOA, so being able to contact a live person was important for me if I was unable to reach my Aunt or if something was off. From Taylor at the front desk, the PT girls, the cafeteria staff, the aides to Stefany in charge of nursing…all of them were available for my call and if I had to leave a message they always called back. They offer an array of services and my Aunt loved the food! They were definitely an affordable place, but the staff was kind, caring and helpful. Great place!

I had to make an emergency move of my sister in Volusia County from a poorly managed assisted living place. My (sister’s) Humana Case Manager set up an appointment with Alba Court in New Symrna Beach. From the second you walk through the front doors there is an atmosphere of friendliness and happy people from residents and employees. My initial meeting was with Admissions Director, Jake. He showed both myself and my sister nothing, but care, compassion and professionalism. (what a breath of fresh air!). Jake came through like a champ to help us in our situation to make the move happen quickly and seamlessly. It was a overwhelmingly mentally and emotionally stressed situation for myself, but I definitely felt supported to get through this predicament. I would like to state without hesitation that I have taken aback and actually have experienced interactions with the staff at Alba Court and find they are people with caring hearts that put the needs of their residents first. This has been displayed to us by their professionalism, empathy and compassion from top down - the Facility Administrator, Rylanda to Resident Care Director, Stephanie to Admissions Director, Jake, to Mental Health Counselor, Trisha to Caregiver, Dominique to Front Desk Greeters – Taylor and Debbie, to my sister’s floor’s Housekeeper, Brandi and all the kitchen/dinning staff. My sister has only been there for a short time and both of us have already had positive interactions from all these people! Also Alba Court provides many activities to keep their residents engaged. Also, my sister always brags about the variety and how great the meals they serve each day – definitely a huge plus! I live over 1,040 miles away, but feel completely confident and comforted to know my sister’s well being and happiness are met, she is well-cared for and her needs are met. More than 5 stars and plus should be given to Alba Court!
