A Banyan Residence Assisted Living Resort

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. They involve the residents in a variety of activities and celebrate all the holidays with them so they never feel like they are missing out. The meals are well thought out and perfectly prepared for all different dietary needs. The dining room is a great place for socializing over a good meal. I feel very safe with my loved one here.

Don’t let the beautiful grounds and friendly sales staff fool you. There is serious neglect happening in the memory care unit. This is not a place to send your family member if they need help with their ADLs. My father was there for about 2 years and his diaper was often not changed, he wasn’t washed, his medication wasn’t given properly and occasionally they barely fed him. Unless you are watching the staff like a hawk, your loved one won’t get great care. They are very understaffed and mismanaged. It really doesn’t seem like the owners have their hearts in this business. Thank goodness that some of the carers are genuinely kind people. Although there is such high staff turnover, most of the good staff eventually leave or are looking to.

To the Team at The Banyan Residence, I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank each of you for the care, kindness, and professionalism you provide every day. We currently have two family members, Ricky and Shirley, living at The Banyan Residence, and the difference from where they were previously is truly night and day. As a family, it brings us tremendous comfort and peace of mind knowing they are safe, well cared for, and treated with genuine compassion. Ricky, especially, has shown such positive changes, he is more mentally alert, has renewed energy, and is once again able to enjoy and carry on conversations. Seeing him this way again has been a true blessing for our family. Every staff member we’ve encountered has been welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. It’s clear that this is more than just a job, there’s a real sense of pride and joy in the work being done, and it shows in the way Ricky and Shirley are looked after each day. I would like to offer special thanks to Sara Busé, who has been an incredible support to our family. She is always available, patient, and willing to answer any questions I have, whether related to Ricky and Shirley’s care or financial matters. Knowing we can rely on her means more than she probably realizes. I also want to mention how impressed I am with the meals. I’ve had the opportunity to share several meals at the residence, including both the Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, and they were excellent. Sharing those holiday meals together made the environment feel warm, welcoming, and very much like home. The monthly activities are another wonderful part of life at The Banyan Residence. They provide meaningful engagement and enjoyment, and it’s comforting to know there is always something planned to enrich the residents’ days. What a great place. My mom moved in last spring. It has been such a great experience. Mom is happy because she has activities to keep her busy. She enjoys the company of the residents and the awesome staff. My wife and I are very happy knowing that mom is well taken care of and safe. Thank you to the staff for everything you do.
