Sherry Struck. Is the most caring, hard working individual with the special ability to help and understand the most vulnerable of elderly population. I trust her completely with our sister’s care and wellbeing. She is an asset to you company.
Memory care is really a hands off unit. A lot of assessments are rather lax because this isn’t a skilled facility. There isn’t daily documentation or communication between shifts therefore they don’t always know about the previous shift or the past week. It’s charting by omission, if it isn’t remarked in a chart, then it’s accepted that there aren’t any problems. From experience I can say things can fall between those omissions. Memory care is really a hands off unit. A lot of assessments are rather lax because this isn’t a skilled facility. There isn’t daily documentation or communication between shifts therefore they don’t always know about the previous shift or the past week. It’s charting by omission, if it isn’t remarked in a chart, then it’s accepted that there aren’t any problems. From experience I can say things can fall between those omissions. Being a memory care, clients are not reliable historians or reporters. It’s hard to accept this as standard, yet it is for this level of care. That’s my review, it may be too structured but it’s how I feel. It leaves me thinking and pondering of if I made the correct choice. Overall the general facility seems very nice. The alf clients all seem happy. There are activities offered frequently, some, like musical entertainment is available for memory care.

We moved in on July 5th and haven’t regretted the move at all! Everyone working here are Amazing, the food is very good (especially the soups)! I’ve met a few neighbors and have enjoyed the meetings and chatting! As bittersweet as it was leaving our house, neighborhood, neighbors and friends, I feel that this was a perfect move for us! Looking forward to our time living here!
I am living a very nice experience here staff is wonderful my room is awesome. Food is great! If you want a nice place to live come see us.
I've been living here for 6 days so far and so far it's been a great experience. The room i moved into has plenty of space for me to have the furniture I want. My move in process was great, Jennifer was extremely helpful throughout the whole process prior to moving in. All staff has been a delight to deal with as well. My ceiling fan strings in my room were too long and I kept walking into them and our maintenance assistant Nick made them shorter so that wouldn't happen anymore. He also fixed my closet door near the entrance to my room as it wasn't closing properly. The servers in the kitchen when i go down for my meals have been very nice and welcoming to me as well. Today I went to Walmart using our community transportation and I had plenty of time to get my things and do my shopping. Didn't feel rushed at all. The people I've interacted with who also live here have been very warm and welcoming as well. As far as activities here, I've really enjoyed the morning exercise. I enjoy reading a lot and they have such a nice library here that I plan on using a lot.
THE PALMS IS INDEPENDANT LIVING AND ASSISTED AS WELL AS MEMORY CARE. For independent living it is the next driveway down in a lovely community of villas 4 to each bldg. Clubhouse and 4ft. Heated pool Very nice living
The facilities are clean and comfortable, staff is happy and friendly, residents seem well cared for and content in their surroundings.
