The Palms at Sebring

NO Star Review. The Palms at Sebring was an extremely disappointing and heartbreaking experience for my family. If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother was a resident here for only about a month before she passed away. During her time at the facility, we were deeply concerned about the lack of care and attention she received. There were multiple occasions when she was not changed or properly attended to, and she experienced falls that, from our family’s perspective, were not properly documented or addressed. Even more upsetting, my mother’s necklace and money were missing. We had evidence showing that she had these belongings when she was admitted, yet the facility did not appear to take our concerns seriously. We expected management to investigate the situation thoroughly, but we felt that there was very little urgency, accountability, or concern shown by management. The facility also appeared to be understaffed and, in my opinion, the staff seemed overworked and under-supported, which ultimately affected the level of care my mother received. Losing a loved one is difficult enough without having to worry whether they are being properly cared for. Our family trusted this facility with my mother, and unfortunately, that trust was not met with the level of care, attention, and accountability we expected. If you are considering The Palms at Sebring for your loved one, I strongly encourage you to do your research, ask questions, visit frequently, and pay close attention to how residents are being cared for. Based on our family’s experience, I would not recommend this facility to others.

Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about The Palms. My brother, Bobby, has Down syndrome and dementia, so placing him in a rehabilitation facility was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make. The staff at The Palms exceeded every expectation. From the Director of Nursing and the case manager to the nurses, CNAs, and physical therapists, everyone treated Bobby with genuine kindness, patience, dignity, and respect. They didn’t just care for his medical needs they cared about him as a person. Their compassion helped make a very difficult situation so much easier for Bobby and for our entire family. As a nurse with more than 20 years of experience, I know exceptional care when I see it. The professionalism, teamwork, and heartfelt compassion shown by the staff at The Palms were truly outstanding. Every interaction reassured us that Bobby was safe, valued, and in caring hands. Thank you to everyone at The Palms for going above and beyond. You made a lasting difference in Bobby’s life and in ours. We will always be grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend your facility to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality care for their loved one.
