The Crossings at Riverview

I can't say enough good things about The Crossings. My grandfather has been a resident here, and the care, compassion, and attention he receives every day give our family tremendous peace of mind. The staff are kind, professional, and genuinely treat residents with dignity and respect. The management team deserves special recognition for being attentive, responsive, and committed to maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment. It's clear they truly care about both the residents and their families. Knowing my grandpa is safe, comfortable, and well cared for means everything to us. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

My family member was a resident there until his passing recently. The price you pay for the care provided is ridiculously overpriced. The management is never anywhere to be found and doesn't address needs or concerns promptly. It is very clear they only care about the money and not the resients well being. The facility is short staffed and the residents do not seem happy whenever we visit our family there. At night time they only lock the front door leaving the back and side doors wide open and unsupervised. They have cameras in certain areas of the facility but they do not work making them a useless excuse for safety measures. All the residents are to wear a life alert pendant around their necks in case of an emergency. We know first hand that these buttons do not work and do not reach the staff. In the event of an emergency your loved ones could be waiting for help that may never come. They claim to do checks every couple hours but we also know first hand this is false as well. We had a camera in my their room due to dementia and paranoia that things would go missing and to ease their mind. On top of all that the level of care that was paid for was not even close to being given. They stopped physical therapy and many activities without warning. One good thing that comes out of this facility is the nursing staff Kim and Savana. They would above and beyond and never appreciated for it by the facility often having blame shifted on them for incidents that occurred when they were not there. If you are wanting to be sure your family is in safe space I do not recommend this facility.

I normally don't write reviews but I thought in this case I definitely need to let anyone know who is thinking about putting there loved one in this facility. My father was living at this facility for a few years. When he first moved in everything was great the staff was amazing, they had numerous activities and physical therapy for the residents. He loved it. Then new management came in and everything changed. Corporate greed started and it became all about the money. Pricing would always change always for a different reason. The care at night was non existent. The activities declined and physical therapy stopped. We were told a price which would cover a level of care and I know that he was not receiving the level of care that we were told. At night when calling up to the facility when knowing something happened , took forever for someone to answer the phone. The doors are not locked and there are no cameras that show someone walking out side doors. The life alert necklaces that they are given don't work. Which we know for a fact because hospice pressed it and NO ONE came. So much for there safety. The other issue that we have faced is that staff doesn't seem to know where there residents are . Unfortunately we had an experience where my father had not been seen for several hours and no one seemed to know where he was. Turned out he had fallen down a hill behind the facility. The resident director is never to be found unless you go to her office. I will say the day med techs and nurses are wonderful but I think they are definitely over worked and spread very thin. My father was sick and I know sometimes he wasn't easy to work with but when you leave your love one with thand pay them to watch over them this facility FAILED at this. The residents that live there are all very nice and they deserve to have great care and I know for a fact by hearing some of there stories they are not getting that . So please think twice before you leave your love one here because even though the place looks nice and the staff is nice it goes alot deeper than that

My loved one was a resident there. When Sheri and Soley were there it was a very caring and safe facility. Since administration changed the facility has become understaffed and unsafe. Now there is incompetence lies and blame being shifted onto others.This corporation is only concerned about money. Talking to several of the residents there during weekly visits their complaints are overlooked or not addressed at all. The activity directors try to engage the residents to socialize and have fun. Kim and Savana were excellent nursing staff who were overworked and underappreciated. The chef and kitchen staff try to prepare meals suited for many residents but many times meals are skimpy. The residents wear alert buttons around their necks however, they do not work and should be checked regularly. The med techs are also overworked and doing the jobs of the nurses. The residents should be checked at night before locking the doors, however, not all doors are locked remain open. if you are looking for a safe place for your loved ones I would think twice.

Very clean, well maintained and well decorated facility. The atmosphere seems relaxed yet there is an energy that is welcoming, friendly and home like feeling.
