My visit to Dorothy Cares was very pleasant. The facility was very clean and organized. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and spacious. The people staying there all seemed to be well taken care of and content. Dorothy is very kind and caring and makes you feel like you are a member of her family. See really cares and it shows.
My wife is suffering with Alzheimer’s disease and has been in eight different facilities in Pennsylvania and Florida. Dorthey Cares here in Florida is hands down the best place she has been. The staff to patient ratio is excellent at one to three. [name removed] clothes and body are kept clean and she receives weekly physical and occupational therapy, as well as frequent Doctor’s visits. I highly recommend this facility. They really do care.

Dorothy Cares is aptly named. [name removed]and her staff really do care and take very good care of my mother-in-law. And unlike many other ALF’s, Dorothy Cares does not have the telltale urine smell that larger ALF’s try to mask and the ratio of residents to staff cannot be beat. It is 3:1. The home is always clean and they cook fresh meals everyday. In addition my, MIL is clean, gets her correct medication, is regularly seen by the visiting physician, she has not fallen and gets the attention she needs. So glad we found this place.
Our experience with Dorothy Cares ALF has been incredible. From the moment we arrived, the facility’s welcoming, clean environment reassured us. What makes this place stand out is the outstanding care, especially from Dorothy. When another facility denied my mom’s stay, Dorothy went above and beyond to help. Her compassion and willingness to make things work during such a challenging time showed how deeply she cares for the residents and their families. The staff treats my mom with patience, respect, and kindness, always understanding her unique needs. They handle challenges with grace and create a family-like atmosphere. The facility is always immaculate, and the food is wonderful. They also offer special events that keep the residents active and happy. I’m truly grateful for Dorothy Cares and thank God for leading us here. It’s a huge relief knowing my mom is in such caring hands, and I couldn’t ask for better care.

It is always stressful and sad to need to have a loved one placed at an assisted living facility. When the time came, the owner helped me through each step of the way; it was such a blessing! The staff is extremely caring and loving, they do care and help him with love, enthusiasm and respect. The place is immaculately clean. The residents are safe, clean and well fed and they exercise and do several activities throughout the day. It is indeed a blessing!
My mother, [name removed], became a resident in late December 2023 at Dorothy's Riverview location. Beings that we kids all worked, we needed a safe place for mom to be once she came out of the rehab. The Lord truly dropped Dorothy in our laps! From the very start, I knew we found the perfect place. Dorothy even went to the rehab and met my mom and her baby friends and they had a blast laughing and talking for a few hours! Yes, 2 hours! Being an RN herself and focusing mostly on elderly care, Dorothy helped us with all of the details for moms exit from the rehab to adjusting again to real life living. From paperwork to meds, patience of a Saint, insurance, rehab and activities, she has it set up! Her ALF is spotless, warm and inviting. It's home. All the ladies welcomed mom so kindly and really made a fuss over her to help her adjust. Dorothy's staff goes over and above. Especially her [name removed] that became my mom's [name removed]! They were darling together. And lastly....GREAT food!!!
