River Commons

Our loved one was only there for a couple months for respite care and she really enjoyed her stay. We live out of state so we never laid eyes on the community but she never complained about the cleanliness of the place. She was very happy with her room, but the only complaint she had, had to do with the mail. There was some inconsistency with receiving mail sometimes and not receiving mail other times - but we think since she did not have a permanent room there she did not get a PO Box like the other residents did. She seemed very pleased with the meals and dining service and really happy with all the different activities.

The staff has all been incredibly friendly and helpful. They are very responsive when you call them if you have any questions or concerns. My loved ones say the food can be hit or miss. They are doing boxed dinners on the weekends and they do not like those very much. Overall I would recommend River Commons to others.

This was a smaller community and we were looking for a community a little bigger and wanted more activities for my loved one to do.

Good community, could've used more cleaning in the community and the residents not as friendly.

So far our loved one is doing okay, she is starting to have some memory loss so we may have to move her eventually since this is only independent living and they don't have nursing staff to check on residents constantly. However she has became friends with her neighbors, and she has a group of people she eats the meals with and does activities with. She is loving it so far.
