The personnel of Brookdale Port Charlotte is very, very good, but they seem to need more people on staff. The meals are a problem because there are a lot of repetitions. It's worse than your high school meals. A lot of people participate in the activities, which is good to see. They have a nice center courtyard, which is great because we're in Florida, and when it's warmer, you can enjoy the sun out there. My apartment has a kitchenette with a waist-high refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. I have a recliner chair, a comfortable table, and a bookcase. My bedroom is bigger than my…

There's a twin bed and a full dresser. I have a bathroom with a shower chair and rails. They do pickups for the garbage. They have different floor plans. Mine might be the second size. The people are wonderful. The nurses on staff are excellent. However, I still think it would have been cheaper for me to stay at my home.
The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Extremly helpful and caring with residents. The residents were happy and clean. Enjoyed the food and it was tasty and flavorful. The court yard was pleasing and quiet. Safe environment for the residents.

This community has improved so much over the last few years, the community is clean, staff is friendly. They all popped in during the tour and introduced themselves and what their roles is. Love getting to work along side them as a home health nurse
I recently visited Brookdale in Port Charlotte, Florida and can't say enough about this wonderful place. [name removed] took me on a tour and she was very informative, friendly and helpful. The building itself was clean and we'll cared for. Grandma would never have to leave as she can even have her hair done there. However, they do have transportation for shopping and doctor appointments. The staff and residents seemed happy and the residents were well taken care of and respected. There are lots of activities. It felt like I was hanging out with grandma and her friends. My one regret was that I didn't have time to stay for dinner. Not sure what was cooking but it smelled delicious. I appreciate that [name removed] did not pressure me but let me know she was available if I needed her.We ran into [name removed] on our way out and she was also friendly.
I visited quite a few places before choose Brookdale Pt Charlotte. But I immediately knew when I walked in that this is where my family should live. The marketing director and the entire team greeted me when I arrived. I felt welcomed and comfortable in their home. I had lunch and the food was really good. Residents are happy and busy with activities. The apartments are really cute, with a refrigerator and microwave.
In 2023 it unfortunately became time for my mother-in-law to give up living on her own at age 95. Brookdale Port Charlotte kept her in the locale she knows, and provides activities throughout the week that keep her moving, her mind engaged, and provides social connections. The staff is very warm, caring, and patient. The facility is very clean and the meals are generous and flavorful - we have joined her for a few meals and can personally attest! Brookdale has holiday celebrations that include the families as well. We visit her often, and are happy with our choice with Brookdale Port Charlotte.
The staff is amazing. The is a Lot of love and care all around. The management team is open to suggestions, ideas and is willing to work with me. My mom struggles with English and the staff goes the extra mile to maintain the communication, sometimes using translation devises. The kitchen team allways provide a well balance meal with lots of care and compassion. Love this facility.
