Prevail Homes Residential Assisted Living Facility

When an ALF owner canceled my reservation without notice, 10 days before respite care for my 96-year-old mom, in favor of a long-term client, I was livid! As I desperately searched for the right facility, I came across a roadside ad for Prevail Homes. I was skeptical! However, owner Marie Prevail answered all my questions; she was very professional and amazingly reassuring! The morning after leaving my mom, the care giver noticed my mom was walking differently. She called Ms. Prevail who concluded my mom may have had a stroke. She promptly took mom to the ER. Enroute to DC I was in a quandary when I received the call. Ms. Prevail handled the situation as I would expect my siblings to in my absence. She communicated with the medical staff on my behalf, facilitated Duo calls with my mom and with her doctors. She visited my mom to facilitate daily phone reports to me, and made recommendations for my consideration. Consequently, I became comfortable mom was receiving the utmost quality care allowing me to enjoy moving my daughter onto campus. I highly recommend Prevail Homes for your loved ones: It’s clean, bright, updated, feels like a home rather than a facility. The caregivers are kind, caring, thoughtful, very pleasant and security measures are in place. The evening before the stroke Ms. Prevail sent a pic of my mom at dinner sharing one of her many stories. It warmed my heart to know a significant, last-minute change resulted in the best decision! Thank you Ms. Prevail and staff for all you did for my mom, and to give me peace-of-mind. Whenever the need arises for my mother’s care, we will return.

My mom has been a resident at Prevail Homes for nearly a year. I was very reluctant to put my mom in an ALF but I could not have made a better decision than picking this home. The owners are WONDERFUL people. The staff is attentive and caring, and I get constant updates on how things are going. The house is genuinely filled with love, and the home is a single family house so my mom gets very individualized care. If your loved one needs an ALF you couldn’t make a better choice than Prevail.
