4.0 · 4 reviewsWe toured Palamar House for my aunt. It wasn't as big as the other facility we looked at. It had a smaller footprint, and the rooms were smaller. They had a nice outdoor garden area. The staff showed us the common areas and the living quarters. They had a courtyard and a lounge in the front with large chairs for the residents. They had a common area, where the residents would all sit and eat together.
My mom was in assisted living at Palamar House for a while and she liked it. They were short-staffed at times and they had a high turnover, and they seemed a little bit stressed. For the most part though, they try to be as pleasant as possible. The place was clean and the rooms were more like in a nursing home and not really cozy. The food was OK. They have a library and a van if they need to go someplace. My mom did chair exercises. It wasn't really great, but it wasn't bad.
