It is in a single family house with a typical colonial/rambler layout. The place is obviously well run. It is as clean as a whistle and there was no smell of urine or even medicine/detergent such as is common in the typical nursing home. I saw only four residents, including my friend. They, including my friend were generally non communicative. He clearly is in an advance stage of dementia. The residents were all ambulatory, were clean and seem to be well…

I visited this place twice now because one of my homeboys, elementary school mate, high school mate and friend is a resident there. It is in a single family house with a typical colonial/rambler layout. The place is obviously well run. It is as clean as a whistle and there was no smell of urine or even medicine/detergent such as is common in the typical nursing home. I saw only four residents, including my friend. They, including my friend were generally non communicative. He clearly is in an advance stage of dementia. The residents were all ambulatory, were clean and seem to be well nourished. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This clearly is a place I would choose for any of my own relatives and even elect to go in case I am in a condition similar to any of the residents. The owner came by just as I was leaving with my friends who were visiting with me and engaged us in a quite congenial conversation. I would recommend this place with high enthusiasm.
