My mom has been in the memory care unit for a year now and the staff has been great. Don't believe those negative reviews from former disgruntled staff members as this place has treated my mom well and we are very grateful to have found them.
My grandmother moved to Hawthorne Inn. I like that it's a small facility. It's very home-like, and it seemed to be a perfect fit for my grandma. They have scheduled activities. Every time I've gone in there, it's been very clean. Her room is big. It's not hospital-like, it's more of a home-like. The staff has been great. All of them are expensive, so it's the hard part.

Fabulous facility! Staff are wonderful and the management is the very best the facility smells wonderful very clean place we are so happy my great grandma is there … We are so thankful for all the personal attention and care they have gave my grandma she loves it and if you are looking for a facility for your love one this will be your best choice they will treat you like family i just love this place ❤️
Do not leave your loved ones here!! All the staff are rude. They hire children that look like they have no experience and no patience with elder people. Nasty place always dirty. They do not take care of the patients at all. Please be aware of this place!!!!

Absolutely love this place, staff and residents. We placed our Granny here 10/23. She is thriving so much and is so happy. The facility is always clean and very beautifully decorated, especially for the holidays! I'd 100% recommend for your loved ones!! The activities alone that also incorporate the residents family are AMAZING and the staff goes above and beyond!!
My folks are residents at Family Extended Care Winter Haven. I can't say enough great about this place. I will not call them staff because the employees are like a team and family. When I inquired about space they accommodated my request to make 2 rooms adjoining and did so without hesitation. All team members are incredible. The facility is not super fancy, BUT it is very clean, extremely well managed and super supportive of the residents. Every interaction from my initial inquiry with marketing, to interaction with nursing staff, maintenance requests, housekeeping, administration support and dining is top notch If looking for a place for your family, I highly recommend.
