Assisted Living and Board and Care in Tampa, with spaces to feel at home and support for your next chapter.
Ask about this communityHailes Boarding Home is in Tampa, Florida, in the West Riverfront area. Third-party profiles describe a small community with a reported capacity of 12 rooms or units. They use differing care labels, including residential care home, assisted living, independent living and retirement home, so those categories should not be read as a single confirmed service profile. One description portrays support for people who are mobile and mostly independent, as well as a setting for older adults who live independently.
A profile describes help with everyday tasks such as preparing food, personal hygiene and housekeeping. Other listings mention possible assistance with dressing, bathing, mobility and incontinence needs, along with medication support and individualized care plans. Memory care also appears in some listings, but the available information does not establish the scope or availability of that service. One profile additionally lists awake staff around the clock, on-call nursing, monthly physician checkups and wellness or fall-prevention programs; these details are not confirmed by the community.
Room descriptions in third-party entries include studios, one-bedroom units, apartments and shared or semi-private quarters. These layouts have not been confirmed, and the listings do not establish which arrangements are available. Possible safety features mentioned include room pull cords, emergency response systems or pendants, and keypad-secured entry. A profile also describes housekeeping and on-site maintenance as part of support for independent living, while other listings mention apartment and common-area upkeep.
Several directories list three meals a day and assistance with dining as possible services. Other described dining features include shared or private dining spaces and menus that may accommodate different dietary needs, including pureed foods. Housekeeping, laundry, trash removal and transportation also appear among potential services. Because these details come from third-party listings rather than a community description, they should not be taken as confirmation that each service is available.
Potential shared spaces and activities described in listings include a communal kitchen, exercise equipment or a fitness area, a library, a movie room, a games room and a computer area. Possible scheduled activities include arts and crafts, games, entertainment, birthday gatherings, outings and picnics. Some entries also mention gatherings for residents and their families, along with salon or barber services and concierge assistance. These amenities and activities are presented as possibilities, not a verified inventory.
The neighborhood profile notes nearby retail, churches and medical facilities. It places Tampa General Hospital about 1.3 miles away and Memorial Hospital of Tampa about 1.5 miles away; St. Joseph’s Hospital is listed at roughly 2.36 miles. Several pharmacies are reported within about a mile, and churches within approximately four miles. These locations provide context for the surrounding area, not a description of services provided by Hailes Boarding Home.

I noticed that this facility was owned and operated by one person in a private residence. The owner also lives on site. The inside is very small with cramped bedrooms, very small common area and small dinning room. Since I arrived close to lunch time I noticed that the meal was adequate but the facility did not offer special diet needs. There was no seating for visitors to visit with residents and no outside seating or areas for walking and enjoying the outdoors. The bathroom is shared by all residents and no privacy.
