This facility does not deserve even one star. It operates as a pure profit center with little regard for the well-being of its residents. From the moment we moved our loved one in, multiple residents warned us not to leave any valuables in the room because theft is common. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the culture. Admin Keith Fedigan set what should have been an immediate red flag. This facility does not deserve even one star. It operates as a pure profit center with little regard for the well-being of its residents. From the moment we moved our loved one in, multiple residents warned us not to leave any valuables in the room because theft is common. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the culture. Admin Keith Fedigan set what should have been an immediate red flag. When the two of us women arrived to tour or discuss care, he chose that moment to announce that he “voted for a woman president.” Politics have no place in a care facility, and the comment felt like an awkward attempt to bond simply because we were women. It was inappropriate and unnecessary. And sadly, we should have looked more into the behavior. After admission, our family member’s health deteriorated rapidly. In the first 30 days she was repeatedly hospitalized and sent to rehab, far more medical crises than she had experienced at home. She was a known fall risk, yet she suffered more falls in the first few months at this facility than she had living independently. Night staff were consistently rude, unreliable, and provided inadequate assistance. Day staff were only marginally better. Despite paying an additional $2,000 per month for higher levels of care, basic needs were routinely neglected. When staff refused to apply prescribed cream and showed no willingness to provide the hands-on help she required, the facility simply asked her to leave. There was no meaningful transition support or genuine concern for her welfare. If your loved one has any medical needs or is at risk for falls, look elsewhere. The extra care fees do not translate into actual care. This place prioritizes revenue over residents.
I moved here in July because of my health & couldn't live alone. Megan has been so kind as well as Keith in helping me get settled. They have helped me through the questions I've had and still continue to do so. All the staff are very kind. They are doing upgrades improving the way of life at the facility. I appreciate everything and everyone!

Megan and Jackie were the best, they made a difficult process as easy as 123. I would recommend them to anyone looking for assisted living.
Excellent customer service!
I moved my father into this facility after a stay at a skilled nursing and rehab facility. It was the first time moving my dad anywhere other than a private residence, so I had a lot to learn. We've now gotten a couple moves under our belt and can say that Grand Villa has been the worst experience by far. The nursing staff didn't communicate with the floor staff and at doctor's appointments they never faxed over paperwork, or paperwork and medications was constantly getting lost. When I would notify the nurse about missing prescriptions, nothing was done about it even though they said it would be taken care of. Meals are only provided in the dining room and if your loved one doesn't have the energy to go downstairs, a meal will not be brought to the room even though it's offered at a fee on their service menu. The protocol for meals was to encourage other residents to buddy up for meal reminders and if floor staff saw a resident eating candy or chips in their room, mark them down as having had a meal for that time period, but not to assist them in getting up for a meal in the dining room. I've learned this from staff who left Grand Villa because they were disheartened by the inhumanity of the protocols and being stretched so thin caring for multiple floors on their own. I've seen former staff around town and at other facilities I've checked out for my father and they all tell me the same things. For a lower price, other facilities have demonstrated continuity of care even when new staff is hired. My father is greeted by friendly staff where he is now in Orange City. Meals are great quality where family and friends are often seen dining with residents in the dining room. The chef herself serves meals and can list all the ingredients used in every recipe. It's a complete difference from Grand Villa where for a few weeks watery broth, and hotdogs were regularly served for lunch because they couldn't hold onto a decent cook. I wish I could have taken all the friend's my dad made and moved them with him. The experience we had with Grand Villa was eye opening and gut wrenching.
