Our mom Eileen lived at Florida Shores just under a year. We moved her from a large facility to Florida Shores since it was a smaller place and more of a family setting. It was like a home, not a facility. We loved the fact that there were many caregivers for the number of residents that lived at Florida Shores. On a daily basis, they would interact and care for all the residents there. Jay and the entire staff kept us informed with any changes that Mom was going through or needs she had! The staff was always welcoming, warm and attentive, and cared for our Mom like she was their mother. Mom had Alzheimer’s and there were challenging days, yet they never complained, just showered her with love. They were by her side helping her whenever she needed them. We stopped in many times unannounced to find them sitting with mom and talking to her or holding her hand if she was upset. They provided entertainment for the residences for holidays and every couple of weeks a piano player come in and play all their favorite songs. We would highly recommend Florida Shores for any of your loved ones. The difference with a small assisted living home made such a difference for our Mom! The Owner (Jay) and his staff at Florida Shores Assisted Living are the most caring, accommodating, supportive, and communicative group of people one could hope for when looking for the right place to care for a family member. They went above and beyond to make sure my Dad was taken care of and engaged. The facility and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained. My Dad raved about the home cooked meals and friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend this facility if you or your loved one needs additional assistance with daily living. Thank you Jay and Florida Shores!
I wish I have known this place way before, this is the last place where my wife was. She passed away couple of months ago. All the staff are incredible and they extend their care, not just to my wife but to me. Great people. Jay, his wife, and all staff are kind and respectful! I recommend this facility. Thank you for such great care you provide!

Mom has been at Florida Shores Assisted Living for 3 years now, and it has been an absolute positive experience for all of us. The staff is caring, competent, compassionate, and very engaging, which is most important to Mom. The facility is clean, safe and accommodating.
I got lost and I called and gave me great directions. They're actually waiting for me outside, so I was very impressed with the very personalized care. The place is spotlessly clean. It's a small facility, family-owned and operated, and the care is so personal. I spoke to a lot of the residents' family members who have their loved ones there for a while and they were just raving about the care in the facility. My dad's been there probably about two months now and I'll say that I have to agree I am very happy with the care. I mean for them to remember to take the dirty handkerchief out of my dad's back pocket, for them to notice that, the care is there. He eats home-cooked meals three times a day, and they cook him something special. They are very attentive to his medications, the type of reactions that he's having, so I'm very, very pleased. I never worry about my dad's care. One thing though, is they don't have any activities and I'm wondering if maybe that could be because my dad is at a higher functional level. But the woman that was there and the other people probably wouldn't be able to respond or participate. I do pet therapy, so I try to bring some of my animals in just to stimulate them.
