2.1 · 15 reviewsThis place is deceiving, if you tour the rehab side, it's a beautiful, well ran facility with a ton of people that are attentive to their patients. On the nursing home side forget it! My family member said they would rather live under a bridge than live there. Residents on the nursing side don't have phone in them, you have to contact the nurses station first, and that's IF they answer. I hear employees yelling and arguing with other residents while on the phone with my loved one.
The rooms are circa 1950s with peeling and cracking paint No wi-fi…Totally understaffed-at night I had to press the call button repeatedly and not much better during the day My interface with the staff members were ok but they were so overworked And the FOOD??? Pathetic! They make airplane and hospital food look good in comparison STAY AWAY! I wasn’t even greeted when I arrived leaving the EMTs to figure it out Poorly trained the staff person assigned to pushing my wheelchair to the waiting car DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHERE IT WAS….to the owners: stop trying to squeeze every nickel out of your…

Worst place I ever seen. No housekeeping was done in the rooms at all two walls up for three had blood splatters on them and she's a lung cancer patient so Airborne pathogens are concern. Staff is very hateful I heard them yelling shut up to patients I heard them telling patience to just lay down and shut up. I heard staff tell another lady what do you mean you can't get up my back hurts I can't get you up these are people that are in here to rehabilitate themselves so they can go home again worst place I've ever seen.

This place should not be in business! I will not stop until this place shuts down! I feel so bad for the loved ones that are left there. If you don't have compassion or even the ability to perform your job, DON'T!!! The way these poor people are treated really makes my blood boil. Prison has better food than what they give these patients! The uncleanness and build up of mold, dirt, and blood is disgusting The way my Grammy and other patients were talked to and treated is unacceptable! No excuse for old blood splatter on the walls and mold build up is cracks and cleaning material! The hand sanitizer on the wall was way more dirty than words can describe! My Grammy was only stuck here for one weekend and for her to beg and beg to go home is heartbreaking! No elders/sick people should be treated so disrespectfully and ugly by the people their family trusted them with! The fact that me and my mom had to take turns to stay with her so nothing bad would happen like the first day when they left her sitting in her own pee for hours! The nurse even told my Gram that she had a bad back and couldn't pick her up she had to do it herself, knowing that my Gram is a fall risk and unstable! Calling to complain or get information for discharge paperwork will only get you 20 minutes on hold! I am making calls to better business bureau, health department, & social services! Debary Health and Rehabilitation! This is ridiculous & I will speak up!!!!!
If you love the person who needs care, DO NOT LEAVE THEM HERE Food is AWFUL and non adherent to allergies Care is NONEXISTENT I was constantly waiting for a call that my loved one had fallen and broken something. Visited at 2 pm and patient had been lying in his own urine ALL NIGHT AND HALF THE DAY Staff has BAD ATTITUDES Call lights on for 20 and more minutes without answering Pts sit in wheelchair all day/no leg elevation and develop cellulitis When it rains you have to SWIM to your car. Water enters the building One positive: Physical Therapists are good. Nursing and nurses aides are horrible. There were two aides who cared on evening shift, the rest including MANAGEMENT should be reported to AHCA for the many deficiencies

My sister is at Debary Health and Rehabilitation Center and it is a nice place, but it's very old and not updated. I think it's like 35 years old, but the people are very, very nice. They treat her very nice and they do rehab and everything to her. The staff is good and all that, too.
I Was there this morning with a Birthday card for a resident there was there a few months ago. I knew today was her Birthday, so I thought I'd surprise her. The lady at the front desk was so nasty and rude, I was in tears when I left there. She said she wasn't there and couldn't give me any more info cause of HIPPA laws. I do understand Hippa laws, and was not asking for any medical info. Just wanted to give the Little Elderly Lady a Birthday card. I think it would have made her happy. So I left with my card, very upset. Oh, as a side note, the smell of urine in there was almost unbearable.
