Concordia Village of Tampa

It is my prayer that people, would look into any facility, that they plan on places their love ones in diligently. Unfortunately I did not and was referred by the hospital. The first red flag was the constant name changes. I found my dad sitting half naked and cold waiting on a nurse to come back. Nursing staff are rude and never around, you hear the people screaming for a nurse. I spoke to Andrea the DON who stated she would look into it. But nothing was done or said. She could care less. Then within 3 days my dad's clothes went missing. I spoke with others I meet at the front desk and a patient and they were missing property as well, saying that it's an on going thing. Unwilling to believe that nurses steal, I asked for a staff investigation in which they refused to do. Tracey in administration another one that could care less and puts things off on Genine in social services. Now local police who has better to do has to be contacted as well as AHCA, State Long-Term Care Ombudsman and DCF. I have no choice places like this need to be exposed so our elderly are not taken advantage of.

If I could give this place a minus 10 I would! They DID NOT take care of our loved one! They kept saying we can do this and that, but never did ANYTHING!! Our loved one was taken to the hospital and had to be put into ICU! No tests were done, no care was given! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

This place is the worst place for any here. The staff is horrible you hear people cry like you in a psych ward my first night here I could not get any pain medication for my surgery so I had to suffer all night. They give medicine when they feel like it however they feel like it bottom line please don’t ever send your loved ones to this place. It is too horrible like I said for human.

I am giving one star only because I have to give something to leave a review. Went here with my elderly parents today who came from WA state to tour senior living communities. The tour has been set up for weeks. We stopped at the gated entrance and were directed by the guard where to go. We pulled both walkers out of the car and went inside to check in. We were asked if we needed Independent Living, Assisted Living or Memory Care. Mom told them we were touring Independent Living. She then said that our tour was supposed to be with Christine at 5 pm. Not only were we NOT on their calendar, but we were informed that Christine no longer works there. We were then told to load the walkers back into our car and go to the office across the campus where Morgan would see us. At that point, we decided that this place was NOT getting any more of our time...this is a SENIOR LIVING FACILITY. If the person who set up the appointment no longer works there, shouldn't she have transferred her tours to another staff member? Shouldn't there be a central calendar for scheduled tours? And shouldn't they have a golf cart available to transport potential clients from one end of the campus to another rather than tell them to load walkers back into the car and drive to the other end? Needless to say, first impressions are everything...and their first impression on us left us 100% certain that this facility would get NONE of my parents' business or money! Add to that fact that the facilities look old, run down, and grungy. NO THANKS...NOT IMPRESSED.

The new staff and specifically Doreen has been such a help with the transition of my mother.
