4.2 · 294 reviewsThis Port Charlotte rehabilitation center should be shut down. They don’t treat the patients right they make the patient’s weight for a long time. When they push the car button to be helped. My wife is in this rehabilitation center and they treat her lonely. You guys should not even be open. You’ll be should be shut down permanently. Just to bring my wife home 10 miles. It’s cost in me $140 when she has insurance that should pay for her ride home.
During my stay here at Charlotte Bay, I have discovered that there are good and bad here. Nurse Joan, Nurse Assistants Janette, Annette, Diane were great. The physical and occupational therapy personnel are also great. Alex, Diane, June, Isaac and Alfredo especially. They listen to you and work on your needs and concerns. My biggest complaint is dietary dept. I'm a diabetic and the only food choices for me was to have me on a carb control diet. They have very little options for a diabetic to eat. Besides that they would bring foods such as bananas, oranges, deserts, sugar packets, orange…

During my stay here at Charlotte Bay, I have discovered that there are good and bad here. Nurse Joan, Nurse Assistants Janette, Annette, Diane were great. The physical and occupational therapy personnel are also great. Alex, Diane, June, Isaac and Alfredo especially. They listen to you and work on your needs and concerns. My biggest complaint is dietary dept. I'm a diabetic and the only food choices for me was to have me on a carb control diet. They have very little options for a diabetic to eat. Besides that they would bring foods such as bananas, oranges, deserts, sugar packets, orange juice, etc with no substitutes but what they advertised on the back of the menu of food that was being made that day. I have spoke to management Suzanne several times and was told they really dont have a menu for diabetics. I asked for chicken, turkey or fish. The processed foods affect my sugar because of the enriched unnatural food. I Ask for turkey burger and I get a turkey sandwhich on white bread. I just can't believe that I'm the only diabetic to ever set foot in this place. Concerns were brought up several times and I've been here almost a month.

My sister had inpatient physical therapy at Charlotte Bay Rehab and we were very pleased with her care. The PTs and OTs helped her come a long way! Thank you very much.
Charlotte Bay Rehab failed my grandmother. She was neglected—left unadjusted, not properly cared for, and critical medical needs were ignored. When I found her, she was in septic shock with dangerously low hemoglobin; the hospital said she would have died within hours if I hadn’t intervened. She passed away shortly after. This facility’s negligence cost her life. Avoid at all costs.
The facilities are nice and clean pads always changed diaper changed when you need it changed enjoyed my stay
My uncle was at Charlotte Bay for about four weeks and I think they did a wonderful job caring for him-Dan Mahoney, nephew
