Ask about this communityCarrollwood Care Center in Tampa, Florida, provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, post-acute care, and short- and long-term care. The center serves people recovering after a hospital stay as well as residents who need ongoing nursing support. Its post-acute services are intended to help people transition from hospital to home, while long-term care is for people who can no longer live on their own and need continued assistance. The center reports serving Hillsborough County for more than 49 years and being close to local hospitals.
Rehabilitation includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. For post-acute care, the team works with a physician to provide services that support each person’s individual discharge goals. These therapies are part of the center’s broader rehabilitative and nursing services. Care staff include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. The center also lists short-term care among its offerings, alongside its post-acute and long-term services.
Long-term care includes general nursing and restorative services. Rather than describing a single standard plan for residents, the center says its care is coordinated and individualized. An interdisciplinary team develops care plans in collaboration with residents or patients and their families. This process is described as a way to shape services around each person’s care needs, with family members included in planning.
Daily services include meals, activities, housekeeping, and laundry. The dietary staff account for residents’ and patients’ special dietary needs when providing meals. The activities department offers daily activities intended to encourage socialization. Housekeeping and laundry are also listed among the center’s services, giving a picture of practical support alongside nursing and therapy. The supplied information does not specify particular activities, meal schedules, or laundry arrangements.
A third-party facility listing reports capacity of 120 beds and describes resident rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. It does not identify room layouts or say whether rooms are private or shared. These details offer a general outline of the setting, rather than information about a particular room or accommodation. The center’s own materials focus primarily on care services and the coordination of individualized plans.
The center’s location close to local hospitals is relevant to its stated role in supporting transitions after hospitalization. Its services include both post-acute care aimed at discharge home and longer-term nursing and restorative care. The center has served Hillsborough County for more than 49 years, according to its own website. The supplied information describes care and daily services but does not give specific room configurations or typical lengths of stay.

I wouldn't send my pet here much less a relative. The facility is dirty, the staff is rude, & you have to wait out side long periods before someone opens the door. My Aunt was a patient here and I recommend if you have someone here, remove them immediately. Urine is left on the floor for hours, nurses don't come when you call for help, and meals are skipped.
Left in diaper wet for hours! Ask to get it changed were told to wait!!!! I ask for ice pack for my hip replacement that gets nowhere! Terrible service and place!!! Now told they don't give ice packs for anyone here at this place! WOW WOW!!!! New day sitting in pee diaper asked to be changed over and over there answer for not changing me im not soaked enough ive peeed at least 4 times since was last changed
