This is a phenomenal community. The staff here does an outstanding job of caring for the residents. Everything from the food to the variety of activities is excellent. Being the owner of a home care business, I visit a lot of facilities and I think this is among the best in the area. Lois, the wellness director here is amazing. I have had a couple of clients that made the transition from home to this community, and she did a fantastic job of reacclamating them to their new home. I would strongly recommend this community to anyone seeking assisted living or memory care.

My mother is well cared for by the staff
Just had Thanksgiving Luncheon with my Mom and other residents with their families. It was really nice. Great music. I also met a new friend the spouse of one of the residents. Thanks to everyone. Appreciate it so much!!!
No nursing staff (LPN, RN) available after 7 or 8 at night. If patient with dementia attempts to get out of a door, be prepared to have to pay for a private sitter for approximately 48 hours. If any kind of financial or billing questions, be prepared to be ignored. Administration gives you their cell phone number to call for concerns, and then doesn't answer and doesn't return messages.
I would recommend. The staff has been great. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
Brookdale Winter Haven looked very nice and the rooms were clean. Everything was clean. The personnel were very informative and answered all my questions. I checked the dining area and the common rooms. The salon was closed, and someone comes every week, not just once a month, which is a plus. The dining area looked fine. They say that they have nice meals, but my parents are very basic. I was more interested in whether they serve the basics instead of just what fancy food they have, but they have both. I met with the director, and then someone who showed me around. Both of them know what they can offer and how they handle things. They answered all my questions.
