Brookdale Lake Tavares has a very Upbeat and positive vibe. The location is beautiful and serene and the lake gives it a very peaceful ambience. The staff make you feel like family and are very fun and friendly. And the apartments themselves are spacious with excellent storage space and the fact that my friend was able to bring his dog and his cat makes it really feel like home to him. in addition, the location is great and close to shopping, restaurants and medical facilities. After looking at several places, finding Brookdale Lake Tavares was like hitting the jackpot!
The facility is nice, very clean. The staff treat the residents like family. The rooms are big. Separate bedrooms from living areas and I small kitchen area. There are a variety of activities every day, from shopping excursions and lunch outings to activities in the facility like Bingo and cocktail hours. Dad gets the calendar every month and highlights the activities he intends to join.
He needed an actual one bedroom rather than a Studio and I had just had knee replacement so we could look at a limited number of facilities. It was the best we saw.

Brookdale values their residents. It is evident in the kindness shown from the front desk, to the dining area staff, to the nurses, and management. They maintain communication with family members, and have professionally handled conflicts that have arisen between my mother and other residents - which are bound to happen. I am pleased that my mother is in a living situation that keeps her social, and all of her needs are met.
