Bear Creek Nursing Center

I wanted to personally thank the Bear Creek Rehab team on an amazing job done by the staff to get my mother back walking after a sciatic nerve injury. Upon her arrival the pain levels were extremely acute and they jumped right in to finding solutions to stabilize the pain in order to get her participating in her actual rehabilitation. Once the pain was controlled the Therapy Team (PT/OT/SLP) took on her care with a force that only dedicated individuals with vast experience can provide. We spent 21 days dedicated to improving the life of my 92 year old mother, all I can say is the kindness, dedication and attention to detail were par none. During her stay the staff both clinical and administrative were engaging and involved in obtaining a positive outcome. The support came from all angles as not only her age was a challenge but she is also blind and suffering with Alzheimer. There was no stopping them and she was engaged and committed to returning to her normal self. Although we had numerous team members giving us support at any given time I have to highlight those individuals that made the most lasting impact on our lives and I found instrumental to get us back home. Lets start with the Therapy Team their Director Courtney and our always present PT Lauryl, SLP Michelle was amazing tapping in to my mothers cognitive abilities. The nursing team Rachell, Erica RN's who cared for her as if she was their own, CNA Jeidy who was there for any need or want, always with a smile and dedication only someone who loves the job can bring, while still having additional patients that needed her support. Last but not least Mandi our house keeper who's attention to detail was a shinning star ensuring our environment was always clean. Personally when I arrived here with my mother a shell of what she had been just 5 days before as the pain was ravaging her body I cannot be more thankful to have landed with this team and the outcome obtained. As we head home, as hard as this journey has been we are blessed to have been here. Thank you to all who participated in making this recovery happen.

My family had an excellent experience at Bear Creek during an incredibly difficult time. My father suffered a massive stroke while living alone in Florida, and although we were fortunate to have a family member nearby, I was managing much of his care from out of state. Throughout his stay, the team at Bear Creek kept me informed every step of the way, and their communication was truly outstanding. Nurse Liz was exceptional in addressing my medical concerns and ensuring I understood my father’s care plan. Physical therapists Lauryl and Matt regularly updated me on his progress and were incredibly supportive throughout his rehabilitation journey. Michelle, his speech therapist, was thorough, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in his recovery. What stood out most was the compassion shown by every member of the staff. From the nursing team and therapists to the administrative staff, everyone treated my father with kindness, dignity, and respect. The office staff went above and beyond to coordinate his care when we arranged for his transfer to Michigan. They stayed on top of insurance documentation, worked closely with the VA, and provided valuable guidance regarding coverage and benefits. Even the dietitian took the time to work with our family to encourage my father’s nutrition and support his recovery. Every person we encountered demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping both my father and our family navigate a challenging situation. I will always be grateful for the care and support Bear Creek provided. Their compassion and dedication made a difficult experience much more manageable, and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality rehabilitation and nursing care for a loved one.
