Skilled Nursing in Venice, with spaces to feel at home and support for your next chapter.
Ask about this communityBay Breeze Health and Rehabilitation Center is in Venice, Florida, and listings identify it as a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center. The described care includes skilled nursing and long-term care alongside rehabilitation services. These categories place nursing support and rehabilitation at the center of the available profile, with both ongoing care and therapy represented. A profile also lists Medicare and Medicaid certification. The descriptions identify this certification but do not set out individual coverage or eligibility details.
One third-party profile also categorizes the center under assisted living, independent living, memory care, and respite care. Those labels are not explained in detail in the primary listings, which identify skilled nursing and rehabilitation as its main setting. The available descriptions do not specify separate units, eligibility criteria, or how these additional categories are delivered, so they provide limited detail about the scope of those options.
The therapy services specifically named are physical, occupational, and speech therapy. A profile also lists stroke care and cardiac care, together with pain management and wound care. Dialysis and hospice are included among its additional care categories. These entries provide more detail than the broad labels of nursing and rehabilitation alone, naming both therapy disciplines and several forms of medical support. The source descriptions do not explain how these services are organized or which residents may receive them, so the listed categories should not be mistaken for individual treatment plans.
Private and semi-private rooms are the two living arrangements named in the listings. Meals are served in dining facilities and are described as accommodating residents’ dietary needs and preferences. Housekeeping and laundry appear among the resident services, covering routine upkeep and clothing care. A listing says staff are available around the clock to provide assistance and support. The descriptions do not define the exact scope of this help, but they do identify round-the-clock availability as part of the service setting.
On-site activities and recreational programs are part of the descriptions of daily life. Examples include arts and crafts, clubs and communities, and social outings. This mix covers creative activities, group participation, and outings, rather than focusing on a single program type. The available details name these offerings but do not provide a schedule, frequency, or information about how residents sign up.
Several shared and outdoor spaces are also noted. Common areas and a lounge are described as places for residents to socialize. An activity center and a library and computer lounge are among the listed indoor amenities. Outside, the grounds and outdoor areas are described as spaces for activities and socializing. Together, these details show a range of settings identified in the profile, from shared indoor areas to outdoor spaces, alongside the dining and care services.

My mother-in-law is placed at Bay Breeze Health and Rehabilitation Center in Venice. We put her there at the beginning of October. She'll be there permanently receiving long-term care. So far, they have been on Covid lockdown so we have only visited her twice, but we are very happy with her care. They call me with any reports on her so I'm very happy. I have to say that it is an older facility but our only desire for her is great care. They also have great outside areas and the care is excellent. The staff was great and I am very, very thankful to the ones that worked with us for all the paperwork that needed to be done. The caregivers are excellent too. The rooms are not overly spacious, but they're adequate and they're clean. For me, and for what our needs are for her in the long term, we are very pleased. I have not tried the food, but she has not complained about it. The place is clean, it has courtyards for the residents, and I know they have a library and a dining room. They have activities like movie nights on Sunday and Friday nights. She could also get her hair and nails done there. They have a salon that is open, I guess, at certain times, to provide the residents with whatever service is necessary. My mother-in-law is a fall-risk and they have a room in which they have a 24-hour nurse with the fall-risk patients. She's been there a little over a month now. The value, for us, is great because we don't pay anything. She got Medicaid qualified, so we paid nothing out of pocket. They handled all of that for her.
We moved my mother to Bay Breeze. The staff is excellent, very informative, and very caring. The sanitation is fine; it’s nice and clean. She is taken care of. Her room is bright and sunny. They have good maintenance people working with them. She had pictures hanging up and stuff. She is doing good there.
I think the staff and workers at Hertiage do well taking care of my father. They all seem to be really friendly and loving to the people there..They all smile and make you feel welcomed. They are some what under staffed on the weekends I have noticed. They go out of there way to make sure they can fix what is bothering you . My dad seems to be adjusting well here. I would say they do a good job with all they have to deal with on a daily base. Thank you all~ Angie Kovach
My mom is currently in Rehab in Heritage Health Care Center and she'll be there for at least 3 months. We chose this facility because they had a bed immediately available to her. Because she has a very serious situation and it's a place like a wound care center close by. She also has Dementia. We like the community because it's pretty much close to where we live so we can visit her any time. My mom is treated very well in this facility and I love it. They are excellent. It's not a brand new facility but it's very clean and the people are really friendly. Although she's in a lot of pain right now and she really doesn't know what's happening, anyway she'll be 88. The food is terrible there. They have to puree her meal because she doesn't chew well and they are doing a speech therapy for that. The wound care doctor said she'll be there for at least 3 months, probably more. She's not gonna be able to live by her self ever again and I don't know what's gonna happen next. Nevertheless I would recommend this facility to others.
