It stinks inside and I will say after a few weeks of regular scheduled visits it started to smell better. They don't have proper PPE for standard precautions. The hand sanitizer devices on the walls were ALL broken and there were no hand sanitizer bottles to be found. They use kitchen gloves instead of regular exam gloves. They lacked hygiene wipes for depend changes. I watched as they used another diaper as a baby wipe. The med tech Madison is always on her phone. She speaks to the…

I would not send my pet rock here! Where do I start?! Upon entry there was poop handprint on the wall. I understand they have memory issues and won't likely remember you called them "crazy" but its not right or nice. The CNA Joanna does not speak english so staff communicates with her via google translate. When they are not eating they are all shoved into the small TV room. They bedroom doors are locked and they have to stay there until it is time to eat. The CNA Joanna and the kitchen lady probably cared the most but it still was not enough to "care" to consider this place for my worst enemy. When a resident tells you "It was the best day ever because someone helped me eat."....well that should tell you everything! I dreaded every visit to this place for 12 weeks. ZERO STARS!
Facility is very dirty, Palma Ceia all beds are almost on the floors. Residents sleep on box spring and mattress. There are roaches there with rats. The elevator is broken all bed linen is piled in a closet in the hallway with stains and smells like pee. I feel so sorry for the residents there. The executive director Evan does not care at all. There's no briefs or chucks for the residents they have permanent piss stains on mattress and linen. Overall Angels at Palma Ceia I would not put my dogs in there, they deserve better treatment and living

My mom’s memory was not very good and the smaller environment was what she needed. She was able to still be independent while she could be and we knew she was safe because the door was code protected. I have to say the people living there make each other feel as if they have been friends for years and that is a great feeling. My mom had the best last 2 years of her life while living there before she passed and we could not be anymore grateful for the people living there and the people who work there. They still reach out to check on my family even after my mom passed away.

If you are looking for memory care for your loved one, look no further. This community is safe, clean, has high quality care, and feels like HOME.
Residents were NEVER taken outside, in fact the doorway was blocked by a sofa. NEVER any fresh food. Everything was canned and premade. At one point the kitchen was closed down because of the rats. NO activities. Once a month someone came in to sing, and something on holidays, but other than that the best to offer was to sit and watch a movie. MANY times there was only ONE person working with 30 residents. Only the 6 am to 2 pm shift had adequate staff. VERY unsafe. When I brought a brand new TV and wall mount, it was months before it was put in his room. It was not hung on the wall, but simply placed on a table. They didn’t even put the batteries in the remote. I was lied to about the care my loved one would get. This is the worst place in Tampa! They’ve obviously put up some fake reviews to get a higher rating. Don’t put your loved one there!
My mom spent her last year at Angels South Tampa. Their compassionate care gave me peace of mind that my mom was getting great care at a time she needed it the most.
I am very pleased with the care and environment at Angel's Senior Living facility. I am POA for my neighbor, a elderly gentleman with Alzheimer's disease. He was resistant to moving out of his home at first but the managers and staff worked very hard to make him feel at home. He has men friends, also residents, that he eats with and socializes with each day. The variety of meals provided are always nutritious and tasty. The facility offers a wide variety of entertainment for the residents that gives them something to look forward to. I am delighted that we chose Angels for his home away frim home.
They've been great. Don't hesitate to put your loved one here. The people I deal with the most have been wonderful. Not only are they concerned about his safety and quality of life, but they're concerned about mine as well. And he's not even my family member - he was my next door neighbor. Everything about the experience has been better than I thought it would be going into it. When I've eaten with him, the food has been good. It costs a lot, but I wouldn't have him any other place.
