4.3 · 179 reviewsMy grandpa stays here, and the experience has been disappointing. Food is always served cold and takes far too long to arrive. When they ask to heat it up they come back 25 minutes later with their microwaved plate. It can also take a long time to get assistance when it is needed. Overall, the service and responsiveness have been poor. We have complained to the administrators and so has he. I would not recommend this location
Every time I visit American House Coconut Point I have a good experience. Maria Familo at the front desk is always so helpful to me. She goes above and beyond her duties to try and make my day easier and I appreciate that immensely!
I want to give a shout out to the front desk ladies who have a tough job and also were always their always looking out for me and my mom, Maquita, Suzanne and Maria. All three have been wonderful. Special mention for Maquita, who was the first one I met and she was just as caring and professional as the first day I met her! Thanks.

If you care about your loved one don’t put them in this facility their are Roaches all over the place , in the hallways Rooms and KITCHEN yes the kitchen staff doesn't take care of the residents leaving them to wonder around and fall in stairwells management sucks, they’re constantly running through new employees leaving them short staffed and don’t care if they’re short staffed they feed these people slop and only have a few choices for them to choose from forcing them to eat the same thing every week its terrible I wouldn’t even let my dog live here
This review is for American House’s front desk receptionist Maquita. During the time my parents spent at this location she has been wonderful. She’s always friendly, patient and helpful. She knows all the resident’s names making them feel like family. Thank you Maquita!

I wanted to take a moment to share my sincere appreciation for Maria. She called me a few days ago to discuss a phone call she received regarding my mom and I am incredibly grateful for her professionalism and discretion. Maria went above and beyond by extending her support and personally informing me of the phone call that was made by my mom‘s brother. Her quick thinking and sound judgment insured that my mom‘s health information and whereabouts remained private and protected. My mom is estranged from her family and is the oldest of nine children which makes situations like this especially sensitive. Maria handled everything with care, integrity and a strong commitment to my mom‘s privacy and safety. I am tremendously grateful for her service and the thoughtful way she navigated the situation. Heather, our Housekeeping Director, is one of the most helpful and efficient people I have ever met. Every request is met with “above and beyond” attitude! She was so instrumental in helping with our successful move to American House, I actually don’t know how we would have done it without her. It is a joy and pleasure to see her around this big building as she is always smiling and interacting with residents and staff while completing her many obligations! Not sure how she does it, but she does. Thank you for EVERYTHING you do, HEATHER!!!!
