This was a real disappointment I was told I was accepted into the senior living. Everything was a go I was given a date to come back and get the keys move in. 3 days before I'm due to move in I get a phone call that said HUD now claimed I made too much money. Apparently HUD calculate finances that you haven't earned yet. I have never heard of such a thing. I understood that it is based off of your income. Not a perceived income that you haven't received yet. I truly felt not only misled, misinformed as well
Overall, very good, and safer than alternative apartments. I wonder why there are shade trees in some areas, yet the south parking lot (at the 6-story building) has nearly NO TREES. I walked through that barren, HOT area mid-day, to get to the office. The trees that were along the main entrance walkway, several years ago, are GONE, too! It's CRUEL to make anyone park out there and walk/struggle with a walker or cane, a long way across hot asphalt, to get into their residence, with NO SHADE FOR RELIEF. There needs to be shade like the Veteran's place in Viera has, or at least, one shaded…

My mother-in-law lives here. it is affordable and allows her to still live a comfortable lifestyle on a fixed income. The pastor that serves this place is beyond excellent and does so many extra things and so much helpfulness and fun is added to living there because of him.
My Mother is very happy here.
Seems like a very good place to have a loved one, my step-dad lived here before he passed and he seemed to enjoy being there. The only thing was that at times we couldn't reach him and we would call and ask for someone to check in on him and it took them almost an hour to get back to us and notify us of what was going on. I'm not sure if that's part of their job, so I can't hold it against them.
Thank you Asbury Team! I'd like to recognize two special team members at Westminster Asbury. Andrew and Scott are two out of the entire staff that went above and beyond to assist me. I had a emergency maintenance issue and needed immediate help, these team members stepped in to assist me and resolved the issue in record time. The entire staff are exceptional and extremely compassionate. Kudos to the team! Westminster Asbury is wonderful place to live and I highly recommend this community! Thanks to all of you! Irv Katz
