3.3 · 48 reviewsI recently moved my aunt to Westchester of Sunrise. I have only positive things to say about the nurses and care team. They are very competent and attentive. I can tell my aunt will be receiving good care and was at ease traveling back home. I also accompanied her to the dining room several times. The food is plentiful and home cooked - and she likes it! So far, so good!
Westchester of Sunrise is one of the best ALF facilities I've visited in many years. Their Director, Noemi, has managed all aspects of running this type of facility with great success. Their Activities Director, Maritza, is loved and relied upon by everyone. Residents say she's always supportive and always says yes to their requests...within reason of course. Their meals are healthy, delicious, and of a wide variety. The front desk is managed by Elda, is very patient and professional with all Residents. A great place for your family members.
I really like the staff, they are very helpful to me. They take they're time. The ones i am close to are kind, loving, and listens to my concerns concerns. The admissions is dynamite. I love her her

I have lived here three years.the people that live here are very nice and friendly.i like the workers here they are good .
I love living at Westchester of Sunrise. The staff is wonderful. Meals are important specially breakfast. Activities is good for the people bc it help their mind. We get coffee or tea at Coffee Talk. Also puzzle time, bingo, arts & crafts, exercise, ice social and Saturday church.
Reasons I like living at WS for the pass 5yrs. We have a weekly menu with an always available menu. We have a great dinning staff. By the way this also goes for laundry, housekeeping, maintanance, front desk and activities.
June 13, 2025 - This is a follow up to my post of 6 months ago -- the manager MYRA FLIELER is seldom here and when I said my neighbor who is mentally ill and disturbing me 24/7, she called me an asshole and gave a 30 day eviction. This place is infested with roaches, bed bugs & worse. NIGHTMARE / ELDER ABUSE IN SUNRISE - DO NOT MOVE HERE JANUARY 24, 2025 - A month ago the highly competent and caring new administrator Myra Perez-Fliegler started her position here. After more than 2.5 years of slumlord criminal management, Myra is a God send. She has dropped the hammer on the slumlord style management and has adopted a strong grip (iron fist) styled management and is very focused on turning this place around. New staff and vendors are replacing ghetto types and now, many of the residents will be housed in new facilities to handle their severe mental and memory problems. They require 24/7 acute care and supervision. I APPLUED MYRA for taking on the challenge of a lifetime. Excellence is her style and people are loving the great changes!
