They visit him and spend time with him. They are like his family there. Only thing I would change is them being closer to where I am so I could keep him there!
Don't understand how and why these people have jobs!!! They don't realize that they will get old and I hope karma come around and say "REMEMBER THE TIME WHEN....
This is so sad, normally this facility is well run but apparently when the regular staff leaves for Christmas the people left in charge are obviously those who have been fired from other places where employees don't park in visitor parking, keep all the blinds closed, leave loved ones in bed until someone comes to visit them and basically don't seem to care. In all the times I have visited here, it has never smelled so urine soaked as it did this Christmas day!

The entire place smells like urine.The stench was so bad it followed me outside and was iny nose.It is a very unsanitary place.
Management does not care about the residents or staff. They are constantly understaffed and use agency nurses. The workers go out to their cars on multiple breaks to smoke marijuana. It takes 1-2 hours for a CNA to answer a call light and when they do they enter the room, ignore the residents needs, turn off the call light and leave the room. Residents go 6-8 hours without being changed. The CNA's never do showers. They chart "resident refused" and don't even ask or tell the resident its their shower day. The facility is covered in roaches. The doctors only see residents every 6-12 months. When the doctor does "see" a resident it is less than a 5 min visit. Residents are constantly sent out to the hospital d/t lack of care, incorrect meds given, understaffing and no management following through with concerns. Resident's have wounds d/t CNA's not repositioning residents every two hours or changing them. No doctors, no staff, no management....and they just do not care about your loved one all they care about is $$$.
Please google Westbay of Tampa and read the “real” reviews. This is the same place. They changed the name because they are horrific and clearly have fake reviews all coincidentally during the same time 10 months ago under this new name.
The night workers/cnas whatever you wanna call them are super rude. Idk how they have 4 stars. The nurse lady with the mike tattoo above her eyebrow was very rude and didn’t seem like she liked her job at all.
I never like to fuel the fire on anyone badly but this place does not return phone calls. New ppl come and go like you change your socks. My aunt was here for 4 yrs, 2 yrs West Bay and 2 yrs Orchid Cove. Never had so much trouble contacting business managers. My Aunt passed in June and I am still waiting on a patient care refund of $482.00. Looks like it’s time to call Alders and my lawyer. Bad business people, don’t go there!
