We recently moved my mother here from another Alf. Best decision! Wentworth is super clean and light with a great amount of varied activities. The biggest selling point for me were the people and nursing staff here! Seriously a cut above when it comes to patient care. Amber, the executive director toured us around and immediately we were sold. She is a fantastic asset to Wentworth and genuinely cares about her staff and residents. My mother recently fell and the nursing staff was fantastic! I was kept in communication about everything going on. I sincerely appreciated how caring they were.…

We recently moved my mother here from another Alf. Best decision! Wentworth is super clean and light with a great amount of varied activities. The biggest selling point for me were the people and nursing staff here! Seriously a cut above when it comes to patient care. Amber, the executive director toured us around and immediately we were sold. She is a fantastic asset to Wentworth and genuinely cares about her staff and residents. My mother recently fell and the nursing staff was fantastic! I was kept in communication about everything going on. I sincerely appreciated how caring they were. Her primary doctors office even commented on how great the nursing staff was here! I only have the very best to say about the whole Wentworth experience and am sooo relieved my mother is here!
I was rather disappointed with Wentworth. The interior feels very outdated, not having a warm or comfortable atmosphere. It seemed more neglected than inviting. The food was a major issue... Meals were bland and repetitive. On top of that, several staff members came across as unprofessional and/or inattentive. I would not recommend this facility to families looking for a quality place for their loved one.

Very big community
After visiting several assisted living facilities, my husband and I moved his mom into Wentworth at end of May after her hospitalization and rehab. It was the most reasonable,beautiful and clean facility we had seen, and the residents looked truly happy and cared for. Mom made several friends with the staff and residents. The nursing staff was excellent, especially, Jean, and they always went out of their way to help her when needed. There were a few exceptions to this, Shay the director of nursing, who was rude and threatening the nurses and patient aids if they showed too much kindness and compassion by helping her "beyond the scope of assisted living facility rules". Mom passed away November 25th 2025 after moving her Orlando health bayfront hospice care. Thank you to the staff of Wentworth for making her stay comfortable and happy.
An amazing company with amazing staff.
Do NOT let your loved ones move into this horrendous place. The last 2 months have been a nightmare for my mother and the nightmare is finally over after successfully moving her to a loving home. After an initial meeting with Shay, the head of nursing, we requested a follow up after someone entered my mom's room without permission and took her medicine box. Nobody told her and nobody notified family. The result due to staffs lack of communication and compliance was that my mom didn't have 2 days of her medicine. When we broached the subject with Shay she became visibly defensive and agitated and began to raise her voice and use disrespectful language. She left the room and could be heard yelling from 100ft away at the office of Martha, the coordinator. Her tirade continued as we exited and included some more colorful and threatening language leaving my mom shaken and upset. This is the behavior from the HEAD of nursing! Disgusting. I stated we would be leaving asap but that process takes time. The fridge never worked in her room and the maintenance worker seemed to not care. We notified Melanie at front desk and she said that was the norm around here. The dining staff are rude and disrespectful. We requested medicine in advance to take on a trip and were given another residents medicine. Any of these events if isolated would be upsetting but forgivable. These events together over the course of 8 weeks? Well that's a violation of patient rights, abusive and appealing. RUN away from this place.
What the community could improve on would be better communication from nurses and doctors visiting mom. However, even thought I have not been there in a year, I would recommend this community to other families.
