I like the fact that it's very clean, it seems to be customer-friendly, and it is closer to home for us. All of them were positive points for me. The staff seemed very professional and very accommodating, which I liked. I thought they were fresh-smelling too. Sometimes, when you walk into a place, you smell a bad odor, but there was none of that there.
We interviewed many facilities and opted for Volante because of the activities and staff. After the hurricane and removal of most of the guests for renovation, we were not as impressed. Would recommend if the renovations are done, the kitchen back in operation, and the rest of those in transition are safely back. They helped bring more vitality to the facility.
My experience with the team at Volante St. Pete has been truly exceptional!! As a home health clinician that sees patients all over the county for more than a decade, I've experienced everything. Their entire team is top notch from the first points of contact Yasmine & Meredith, to the Executive Director Jack & every other person I've ever encountered in the building, I've been so impressed. Everyone is kind, gracious & super helpful.

I found that did not change the pee pad they would put new on top of the old one. Room was decent and can not answer about the food.
Pros: overall the staff there have been good. Cons: It is not a nice enough area for my dad to walk around
Volante of St. Petersburg had damage done from the recent storm back in September. So, they were in the middle of just fixing everything up. There were a few spots on the premises that were off-limits. Everybody was very nice. I just had to wait a little bit, though. They were very busy. So, the ratio of caregivers to residents was much higher. They have a pool.
Not happy. Mom's toilet seat broken for days before fixed. Hot water hasn't worked in a week so aids didn't shower her. Dining facility still closed from storm damage so they have to eat in rooms...but they don't pick up trash for days and they want to raise rates! Don't send your loved ones here!
He now had to relocate to [name removed] due to mold again. Several residents had to move to sister facilities for a few weeks in order to get rid of the mold. My family member who suffers from dementia is worst because of him being in Fort Myers. Awful all in all. Pay all this money , his furniture got destroyed because of the mold. No one would have done anything about it ! I am the one who noticed the mold so no one is cleaning rooms or they would if noticed the mold. Lack of communication. No one returns your phone calls. [name removed] is wonderful. No one answers the phone at the front desk. Most frustrating experience
