Krystal Robinson, the Director Of Nursing at Volante is A amazing advocate for the residence to make sure they get the best level of care they need. She works in tandem with the families to assure satisfaction and consistent care.

I moved my 94 year old mom out. She lived here for years. Since the new owners , things have changed. Not for the better. It’s understaffed. I found my mom on a Sunday with a wet bed. She has dementia and did not know. This broke my heart!! I was going to move her prior to this due to staff I knew and liked all leaving, but gave them a chance. Then I had problems with business manager. Extremely rude and pompous. I always hand delivered my mom’s rent before the 5th of each month. I had them provide receipts. When new business manager started, she would send me invoices (sometimes two different ones) with late fees. It was every month. I made an appointment to speak with her. I showed up. Waited and waited. I was then told she’s not in and I should not have made appointment with receptionist. While waiting i learned a food order I had delivered to mom and arrived that morning did not get to her. That took an hour of pushing to get info and to find it delivered to wrong room. $220 order. When I finally met with business manager I could see her fumbling with computer trying to prove I was late. I had my receipts. She then tells me “well she deposited after 15th of the month.” What??!! At this point I was frustrated. Very frustrated. I admit I was not polite. But please she thought I was a moron. She then instructed me to give thirty day notice and move mom out. The stress on me was nonstop. For weeks and weeks telephones were not working. That took me many stressful hours to get one in my mom’s room Back to her wet bed… no one watches or thinks .. they had to smell the situation. After this I started to bring her laundry home and wash it. They lost many things and delivered things that were not hers. I was bringing home wet bedding almost everyday. I had to go everyday to check on her. It’s a long drive. I worried every night. There are more stories that were good. Amber the executive director tried to improve mom’s situation. Tried helping us. Promised me she would report business manager to corporate. I don’t know if she did. Also promised me I would never interact with her again. Then my next meeting with executive director… business manager was in office! There more errors business manage made. I will alert corporate to all my experiences. Staff is afraid of management. That’s terrible. More are leaving. There are many wonderful employees there that are not appreciated and are leaving. I wouldn’t recommend this place. You see the good reviews recently….i wonder …. I have more …. Go look. Ask around town. Word is out …

This has been a wonderful place for my brother to live. The staff is caring and so nice to him. His room is bright and big and he is able to have many of his personal things with him. Plus his view is spectacular. A shout out to Crystal and the nursing staff….wonderful caring people. Food is very good with excellent friendly servers. He calls Volante home now….I couldn’t ask for more.
