The Woodlands Assisted Living Center

This place is the worst place ever I will never ever put my love one in this place the lady Mary take money from them there so much bed bugs there if she don't like your love one she will lie about them and kick them out like trash I saw it my self and she don't now how to pass meds she almost kill one lady wow I feel so sorry about how them poor people s dealing that all day there no good food there no games for them the roof falling that place need to be close down for good them people's don't need to live like that it brakes my heart to see that that Mary need to be let go take her license away for good

The Woodlands wasn't inviting and I didn't like the setup. Some residents were smoking out in the back lanai. There's the odor as soon as you walk in and it just seemed a little dreary to me. I saw a room that was occupied at the time, but I wasn't excited about the way it looked. The staff who toured me around was inviting, very informative, and pleasant. She explained thoroughly that they were undergoing renovations and it's not normally like that. But still, it was just a lower standard than I wanted for my mom. The dining area was clean, but it was a little dated and not as inviting as I would like it to be.

I visited my daughter, who has had a brain injury a couple Sundays ago. She's content, likes her room and room mate, the staff. She was clean and dressed in clean clothes. When, I left her after our visit she didn't cry to be taken home. Something she did in the past Rehabilitation Center.

We have a good feeling about this place.

The Woodlands would likely be okay for someone needing an assist with preparing meals, cleaning house, and other house based chores. In other words the lowest level of assisted living where you could still live alone but feel more comfortable having someone else doing them. However if you have a need for the higher levels of assisting living this place is not the place for you or your loved one. One of the biggest problems is absolutely no call system. If you are a higher level of assistance need your only choice is to yell at the top of your voice but no one usually comes. If you are at the highest level of assisted living it is not for you and hopefully you will find a facility more in tuned with that need. I have a higher level of need and frankly spend a lot of time uncomfortable, sometimes in pain, and in need of assistance I have constant difficulty getting. I often have to deal without. Please investigate carefully before making a decision on any facility.
