I visited The Watermark at Marco Island with my wife to see if it could be a good place for my parents, and we were both very impressed. The community is beautiful, welcoming, and perfectly maintained. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, and you can really feel the warmth in how they interact with the residents. We also had dinner there, and the food was excellent — fresh, well-prepared, and served with great care. It truly feels like a place where people are happy and well cared for. I left with complete confidence that my parents would be in great hands here.

The facility is elegant, welcoming, and set in a natural environment that conveys serenity and well-being. One experience that made the visit truly memorable was meeting Chef Salvatore Pezzella. His passion for cooking and the care he puts into preparing each dish are evident. Salvatore brings with him a wealth of international experience and manages to turn every meal into a special moment, with dishes that combine flavor, health, and Mediterranean tradition. It’s rare to find such a high level of cuisine in a senior living community, and this truly makes a difference. I really loved how Chef Salvatore explained each course and how he involved his staff in celebrating every dish. I was considering The Watermark at Marco Island, but during my visit I overheard the chef, Salvatore, speaking very harshly and disrespectfully to staff. This raised serious concerns about the work environment and how employees are treated. A negative work culture can affect both staff and residents, and it left me questioning whether this is the right community.

The facility is beautiful. More importantly the help has been incredible. They provide a loving care of the residents in memory care. I can’t praise them enough. They are God’s Angles…..
From the moment you walk into The Watermark, you’re greeted with warmth, beauty, and an immediate sense of home. The space is spotless and beautifully decorated—stunning orchids and elegant touches make it feel more like a luxury hotel or cruise ship than a typical assisted living facility. The staff is attentive and kind, and the residents all seem genuinely happy and well cared for. The grounds are immaculate and inviting, perfect for enjoying peaceful outdoor moments. Truly a remarkable place that sets a high standard for senior living.
Watermark is such a beautiful location on Marco Island. I am currently teaching the Tai Chi program at the Watermark. I have found all the personnel and members to be appreciative and supportive. It is truly a caring and tranquil atmosphere. I love the outdoor space on the water and found it to be very conducive to mindfulness training. Such a great place right at the heart of Marco!
