As the one star above indicates, my experience with this company was not good, more than not good. I engaged Erta Dumond and her company May 15th of 2024 to get Medicaid benefits as well as VA Benefits for a friend of the family. Erta assured me getting VA benefits was part of her services and directed me to a section in our contract that covered that. The first step was to get Medicaid and then the VA benefits which I understood from Erta that was required by the VA. The process began and, other than having to submit the same documents multiple times, seemed to be moving forward. Come October, five months in, I started to have concerns. Then in early of December I received a letter from Access Central saying that Medicaid for my friend was being denied. Erta deemed it a mistake and went about correcting it. When I questioned her in mid-January about the situation, she said my friend would have his Medicaid benefits by the end of the month. That did not happen. Long story short, my friend finally got his benefits in April of 2025, one month short of a year from when we began the process. I heard excuse after excuse, always someone else's fault. Everything I am contending above is documented in emails. Now is when it gets really bad. So, now having gotten Medicaid, it's time to apply for the VA benefits. I emailed Erta about them on April 11th, 2025, and got the following email (edited to meet the word limit of this review). Hi Arthur, I'm doing well, thank you for asking. To begin Robert's VA benefits application, I’ll need a bit of information from you. In addition to May's invoice, could you also send me the invoices for March and April? Thanks! Erta Well, from that point forward it went downhill. Again, excuse after excuse. Month after month went by with more excuses. There is so much more to fill out. More bank documents needed (which she had from Medicaid filing). More information needed that I was to provide. Why was this not addressed in the beginning? I then pushed about if she had filed a Letter of Intent with the VA which gives you 12 months to file and possibly receive benefits from the date of that filing. To me she should have done this back in April after Medicaid was approved. It was finally filed September 26th., 2025. When I asked her why it took so long to file, she said I did not get my friends DD-214 to her until a week or so before. The thing is you don't need a DD-214 to file a letter of Intent to File per VA instructions. Then, Erta suddenly claims that her services did not include getting VA benefits, even though I provided her with the section in her contract that said she did. Not to mention the email above. Oh, I forgot to mention that Erta had promised to have the VA claim filed by the end of June and even had one of her assistants call me to say they were to be filed after the weekend, on June 30. When I called the VA in early July, I learned nothing had been filed. I continued asking about the benefits to no avail. August goes by. September goes by. After multiple requests, the Intent to File is finally made and then Erta promises to have the claim filed by October 6th. She once again fails to do what she said she was going to and gives some mumbo jumbo about how we had talked on the13th, that she needed more information which I gave her that day, and a week later still nothing. I finally emailed Erta she had a week to file the claim, or I was going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which I am now going to do. She emailed me back that she did not want to continue with the file any longer. Thank you Erta for putting me out of my misery. Why I did not act sooner I don't know. You just kept promising you would do what you said you were going to do and like a fool, I believed you. As you can imagine, I would strongly recommend using another company to get Medicaid and or VA benefits. Note: All of the above is well documented in emails, all of which I have saved. The truth clearly hurts. Defamation? How is truth defamation?
